I attended a medical convention today and one of the big topics is Dementia.

We always focus our programs on children. I think it is time to develop a program to maintain the cognitive abilities of our seniors too.

Soon to open, a space just for this. A well designed system to help our parents who raised us. If the old people are happy, midlifers will also be happy!

Toy making, pottery, mosaic, coco art, nature art, sculpture,crochet, upcycling, drawing from nature, and more. We have these in the art Gym.

Teaching arts and crafts is the best way to make a child’s brain active and imaginative. After learning with us, they bring their new skills at home. Creating things from scratch, a lifeskill that may someday be the seed of a future industry.

Let us urge our children to create.

The children of The Art Gym went to the BSU thesis exhibition last weekend. Oh what an experience for these young minds!
We visited the booth of Nicole and
Mathew, our former interns. All the outputs are so well executed. Sir Joru toured us around and we can see how proud he was.
We saw the book of Gareth Buensuceso about birdwatching too.
Could we consider birdwatching in the Art Gym too? We have lots of birds coming as we have a number of trees bearing fruits all year. His book will be available for all to learn about the avian inhabitants of Lipa.

We have opened our Art Gym to interns so that they can use our resources and facilities. Our little contribution to the future of our city.

Congratulations to all the brilliant minds of BSU! Looking forward to next year’s batch.

Mother’s Day Celeb in the Art Gym.

What a lovely day for our ballet Moms. Most of them have never tried watercolor painting before. Art brings happiness indeed!

They overcame their fear of mistakes and just enjoyed the moment. Some told their kids that this will be their new activity at home.

MarLiCa is overjoyed.

He is almost always present in our projects big and small. Now preparing for a portfolio with his dream giant puppet project.

Thank you Gab, for helping us in our backdrop works!

Gab has been with us since grade school, she enrolled in basic drawing and every summer, since then, she gained a variety techniques. From graphite, oil pastels, acrylics, to painting large scale in oils, she learned it all. Still life, portraits and lanscape, yes she can render in all media. She never stopped learning, even during Covid. Now, she is a contributor to our lofty recital backdrop vision. Invaluable!

Tomorrow, we will start a new batch for basic drawing class. The last one for this year. Can we find another Gab?
