"𝙃𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙚, 𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙖 𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙪𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙨 𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣" 🌳

The 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹’𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗬𝗘𝗦-𝗢) successfully conducted its second kick-off of the project, “𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐨, 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐨”. Despite our student leaders’ busy and hectic schedule, they still find time to help and care for our environment.💚🍃

The YES-O officers have yet again collected sacks of bottles as part of the organization's purpose, successfully gathering a total of 𝟵𝟰 kilos of sacks throughout the different grade levels and sections. Although the project has only just begun, its 𝙎𝙐𝘾𝘾𝙀𝙎𝙎 proves to be 𝓫𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽, and it’s thanks to the never-ending diligence and cooperation each student and YES-O officer provides.

The bottles that you throw may seem like trash, but to others they become a source of 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚 for different people and families.

Each sack—each plastic bottle collected serves as a step towards a 𝙂𝙍𝙀𝙀𝙉𝙀𝙍 and 𝘽𝙍𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏𝙀𝙍 environment. 🌱

This isn't just about bottle-collecting, It's about perseverance, resilience, persistence and care for 𝓵𝓲𝓯𝓮 and the 𝓰𝓻𝓮𝓮𝓷𝓮𝓻𝔂 that surrounds us. ♻🚮

🍬𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖?

The 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢-𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 in the Philippines is also known as the 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐭 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 due to the practice of selling goods in small, affordable quantities. The word 𝑻𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒊 came from the phrase "𝑲𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒊" back when Filipinos would negotiate with the Chinese for small quantities of foreign items.

At present, this culture manifests itself on 𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶-𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 and even 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀, wherein goods would have variations from big ones to the smaller packs, or in sachets.
Although the culture enabled convenience and affordability, it has also greatly affected the 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 of the country, increasing 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚.

Back then, Filipinos used to bring 𝐫𝐞𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 to the market and only buy what is needed. But today, the tingi-tingi culture have become a part of the 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 of goods. These goods are already separated accordingly into small 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝒔𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒕𝒔.

Since then, plastics are seen 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆. The wrappers of these 𝑻𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒊 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒔 are thrown away without care, contributing to the 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝒘𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆. This leads to clogged drainages, harming wildlife, polluting the ocean, and further straining the environment.

But there is a 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, and we are a 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙞𝙩. It is time to rethink our plastic consumption, to promote 𝒔𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔, and properly implement the ban of single-use plastic. Let us go back to utilizing 𝒓𝒆𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝒆𝒄𝒐-𝒃𝒂𝒈𝒔, and other practices that will be better for the environment.

Let us 𝒅𝒐 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 and advocate for a cleaner, healthier world. Together, we can make a 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 in our 𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 and our 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕.

Ngayong 𝗶𝗸𝗮-𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗸𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗲, ipinagdidiriwang natin ang 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 para sa ating mga minamahal na g**o. Isang marubdob na 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁 para sa lahat ng itinuro niyo sa aming mga estudyante, maging sa mabuting asal at sa mga iba’t ibang asignatura na mabibitbit namin sa aming paglaki. Kayo rin ay nagsilbi bilang aming 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 at ang paaralan ay naging aming pangalawang tahanan sapagkat, marami kaming maibabaon na aralin na nanggaling sa inyong mga puso at katapatan sa inyong mga trabaho. Kahit ang iba ay sinasabing trabaho lamang ang pagbibigay-aralin ng mga g**o sa estudyante ay sila’y nagkakamali. Ito ay higit pa sa trabaho, dahil lahat ng mga tao rito sa mundo ay nagsimula sa pamamagitan ng pakikinig sa aralin ng ating mga g**o. Nawa’y bigyan kayo ng mas maruming karunungan at katatatagan upang maitawid ninyo ang inyong mga turo hindi lang sa kasalukuyan kundi sa hinaharap na kinabukasan

𝗗𝗢𝗡’𝗧 𝗚𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥… 𝗧𝗢 𝗗𝗢 𝗜𝗧 𝗔𝗡𝗬 𝗪𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚.

Our rivers, lakes, and seas aren’t just bodies of water — they are 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 itself. Every drop carries the songs of fish swimming free 🐟, the whispers of waves caressing the shore 🌊, and the promise of tomorrow for every child who drinks from it.

But what happens when we 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜? Trash drowns in rivers 🚮, oil stains the sea 🛢️, and chemicals poison what should have been 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚. What once gave life now carries 𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝.

To “𝙗𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧” is more than just a lyric — it’s a call. A call to 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁, 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲, and to 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁. Because water is not endless — once wasted, once polluted, it may never return the same.

Imagine a world where every wave still sings 🌊, where rivers still sparkle under the sun ✨, and where children can swim safely in clean waters. That world begins with us — with every bottle we refuse to throw, every riverbank we help restore, and every voice that rises for our seas. 🌱

🌳 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲! 🌳

𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗼. 𝟯𝟱𝟳𝟭 is a law in the Philippines that aims to 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀, 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝘀𝗵𝗿𝘂𝗯𝘀, and any plants that 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 from 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, or 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆. This law, therefore, undertakes the goal of securing 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘆, and not only because of its beauty but, more important, for its 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺.
