We gathered on February 11, 2026 at the Evacuation Center in Lingayen, for a meaningful Youth Leadership Seminar aimed at enlightening and empowering our youth on the important issues of Teenage Pregnancy and HIV/AIDS, hosted by the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of the Municipality of Lingayen and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) with the support of the Youth Volunteer Facilitators of Lingayen.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our special guest speakers, Dr. Shayne DS. Borling from Rural Health Unit III and Ms. Jean Cañete from PopCom, for sharing their expertise and enlightening us on the issues of Teenage Pregnancy and HIV/AIDS. Thank you as well to the Pangasinan Provincial Library and JCI Lingayen Liberation II for their session about setting goals based on our dreams for our futures and positive values. All of our speakers not only broadened our knowledge but also encouraged us, particularly the youth of Lingayen, to take informed action within our local communities.

As these young leaders step forward into new and exciting journeys, may they carry with them the enduring essence of volunteerism: to lead with compassion, serve with purpose, and inspire with sincerity. Each one of them gained new knowledge and skills to enlighten and empower fellow youth. Remember, change starts with each one of us. Be part of the solution and together let's shape the future of our community!

🌊💧WATERSHED WATCHERS: CREEK 💧🌊CLEAN-UP

On January 13, 2026 YEAL and YVFL partnered to effectively stage the event Watershed Watchers: Creek Clean-Up and Phase Two of the Bokashi Mudballs (Mabuhay Balls) initiative.

The seminar and orientation were held at Brgy. Tumbar, covering discussions on watershed protection, waste management, and how the Bokashi Mudballs are important for the restoration of water quality. Then, the activity continued at the creeks of Brgy. Basing where the most exciting part was: the throwing of Bokashi Mudballs.🌿

Making the event even more meaningful, five Ms. Lingayen joined the activity, together with representatives from the Lingayen Youth Development Office-LYDO and the Municipal Tourism Office showing their support for environmental and youth-led programs.

This successful event shows that it really takes everyone to protect the environment. If the youth organizations, local offices, and the community can work hand in hand, small actions can be transformed into big and lasting changes for the sake of our waterways and future.🌿🏞️💧

LINGAYEN VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DAY

A gathering not just to celebrate an event, but to celebrate the hearts behind every act of service. The Lingayen Volunteer Appreciation Day, held during December 29, 2025 at the Lingayen, Pangasinan Municipal Hall, was a simple and meaningful gathering for recognizing the dedication, passion, and selfless heart of our volunteers.

The day was showered with laughter, shared eperiences, and moments of appreciation, reminding us that behind every successful project are individuals who give their best self, without expecting anything in return. It is a space where every volunteer is valued, and celebrated. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our advisers, whose guidance and unwavering support molds us not only as volunteers, but as individuals committed to service Mr. Arvin Ungson, Mr. John Mark Mangapot, and Ma’am Elina Rayos-Dern. Their encouragement, patience and genuine care and support inspired us to serve with purpose and integrity, and their belief in us made every challenge worth it.

This gathering was more than a celebration it was to remind us that volunteerism is built on unity, kindness, dedication and shared love for our community.

Bilang bahagi ng Lingayen Capital Festival and Cultural Presentation 2026, matagumpay na isinakatuparan ng SK Federation ng Lingayen ang SK Night, isang gabi ng pagkilala at pagdiriwang na sumasalamin sa lakas, talento, at ambag ng mga kabataan sa Bayan ng Lingayen.

Isa sa mga pinakatampok na bahagi ng gabi ang pagkilala sa mga organisasyong nagsisilbing haligi ng aktibong pakikilahok ng kabataan. Kabilang dito ang YVFL – Youth Volunteers Facilitators of Lingayen, na ginawaran ng parangal bilang pagkilala sa kanilang patuloy na paglilingkod at mga programang nakatuon sa kapakanan ng kabataan at ng bayan.

Ang SK Night 2025 ay isang gabi na puno ng musika, inspirasyon, at pagkakaisa, isang pagdiriwang na nagpapatunay na ang kabataan ng Lingayen ay hindi lamang tinig ng kinabukasan, kundi mahalagang puwersa ng kasalukuyan. Sa pangunguna ng SK – Sangguniang Kabataan, patuloy na pinapanday ang isang Lingayen na ipinagmamalaki ang kanyang kabataan at kultura.

𝐘𝐕𝐅𝐋 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫 ❄️ 🎶
The spirit of the holiday season was evident as we shared the spirit of giving, singing, and serving at the YVFL Winter Karoling Fundraiser. We were able to render our singing services in different offices of the municipality, singing holiday songs. The amount we were able to raise will be primarily used for team building activities and transportation of YVFL members going to 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑺𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 ( 𝒀𝑫𝑺 ). 𝒀𝑫𝑺 is a program in which we at YVFL are actively involved in helping other youths in developing important life skills that will enable the youths to become the best versions of themselves. We would like to take the opportunity to express our sincerest gratitude to the different offices of the municipality for the warm welcome they have given us and their continued support in the different community services we conduct at YVFL. We are truly blessed with your kindness and support, which in turn inspires and encourages us to serve the youths and the communites. After the singing in the offices, we also met at the atrium of the municipality to sing and spread Christmas cheer to all the visitors at the municipal hall. ✨🫂

KAMAY NG MGA KABATAAN, ANG HUHULMA SA KINABUKASAN 🍃🏞🍀

On this day, YVFL (Youth Volunteer Facilitators of Lingayen) joined an environmental activity under Project: Eco Link organized by YEAL ( The Young Environmental Advocate of Lingayen) in partnership with the students of UDD ( Universidad de Dagupan) . The event was held at the Livelihood Training Center, Poblacion, Lingayen, Pangasinan on December 20, 2025, representing a common mission in creating an impact for change regarding the environment.

The project revitalized water bodies through the use of Bokashi mudball technology, an environmentally friendly innovation adopted from Japanese environmental practices. This could be a sustainable approach to the restoration and rehabilitation of local water bodies in Lingayen by means of community-based action and active involvement of the youth and others.

This seminar and hands-on activity gave them a better insight into the responsibility for the environment. This became a game-changer and eye-opener for the youth ,making them more caring and responsible towards nature while growing as reliable protectors and stewards for the present and future generations.

“𝗔 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.” — John C. Maxwell

On November 29-30, youth from Domalandan East and Domalandan West—trained by the Youth Volunteer Facilitators of Lingayen (YVFL) during the Roll-Out Training for Youth Leaders—independently facilitated their own Youth Development Sessions for the first time.

In Domalandan East, the session proceeded despite the absence of an on-site YVFL mentor. Despite this limitation, the youth organizers coordinated independently and led a focused discussion on teenage pregnancy awareness and coping with life challenges. As a result, they demonstrated strong initiative and accountability.

Meanwhile, in Domalandan West, an engaging Youth Development Session centered on life skills was conducted. With the guidance of three YVFL members mentoring the newly trained facilitators, the youth of the barangay nonetheless took the lead in delivering the session and sharing key insights with their peers.

Ultimately, these Youth Development Sessions affirm that a leader’s true legacy is measured by the number of new leaders they inspire and empower to lead.

These facilitators, coming from Libsong East themselves, inspired their neighbors and friends through lessons on life skills, teamwork, and personal growth.

Even with limited time to practice with YVFL, the youth led the session with confidence and unity, sharing responsibilities and supporting each other. Three groups of participants created and presented thoughtful posters on problem-solving life challenges and raising awareness about teenage pregnancy, reflecting the session’s impact.

This session highlighted the courage, passion and leadership of Libsong East’s youth, proving that when young people are given the opportunity to lead, they can spark meaningful change in their community.

Through the act of service, the young members of the 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗻 (𝗬𝗩𝗙𝗟) continue to uncover the parts of themselves most worthy of sharing. For in the heart of 𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢 lies the greatest gift one can offer — a gift that nurtures, uplifts, and transforms lives.

Upholding the true spirit of service, YVFL successfully conducted the 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐥-𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 last October 29, 2025, at 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫

With 22 active participants from 𝘋𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯 𝘞𝘦𝘴𝘵, 𝘋𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯 𝘌𝘢𝘴𝘵, and 𝘓𝘪𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘢𝘴𝘵, the program flourished in engagement, collaboration, and shared purpose. Beyond learning, the session has become a space for meaningful dialogue and personal growth.

Heartfelt gratitude is extended to everyone who made this initiative possible — the 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (LYDO), 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (DSWD), the 𝗬𝗩𝗙𝗟, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, and most especially the ever-passionate 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 who breathed life into every moment of the session.

The Youth Volunteer Facilitators of Lingayen (YVFL) was proud to be a part of the Lingayen’s International Coastal Cleanup 2025 during the Tourism Month, the YVFL was honored to be with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lingayen, led by Mayor Josefina V. Castañeda, in the celebration of the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC), last September 20, 2025.

The clean-up activity was carried out on Lingayen beachfront, a picturesque shoreline, and was led by the Local Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (LTCAO) and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO). Volunteers and stakeholders came as one with a single cause in their hearts combating marine pollution, collecting coastal garbage, and raising awareness about caring for our seas.

The ICC Day served as a reminder that the protection of marine resources not only maintains the Lingayen biodiversity, but also boosts the province's thriving tourism industry, primarily because the shore of Lingayen is so cleaned.

~September 13, 2025~

Despite the heat of the day, our team was able to deliver a meaningful lesson on identifying personal values and guiding the kabataan of Balococ in their journey through life. The Youth Volunteer Facilitators of Lingayen (YVFL) were truly delighted to witness the energy, cooperation, and openness of the young participants throughout the session.

It made the encounter even more fulfilling to notice the authentic smiles and to hear perceptive remarks made by the youth. They wanted to join in, think about, and interact with us, made the session a joy, but it also provided us with critical takeaways in their own words. What a delightful and engaging interaction with such bright minds.

We give our sincere thanks to the Barangay officials of Balococ and to SK Kagawads who helped us organized the Youth Development Session. Salamat, Barangay Balococ.
