Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan

The Rotary Club of Limay proudly participated in the 52nd Nutrition Month Celebration organized by the Municipal Health Office of the Municipality of Limay on July 27, 2026, held at the Limay Multipurpose Hall.

Representing the Rotary Club of Limay in the Municipal Nutrition Council was PP Maria Elizabeth Salvador, who joined local officials, health advocates, and community partners in promoting this year's Nutrition Month theme, "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan."

The activity brought together mothers and children from the Municipality of Limay, who were invited by the Municipal Health Office to participate in an engaging and educational program. Participants gained valuable insights through discussions emphasizing the importance of ensuring adequate nutrition, providing access to clean and safe water, protecting a healthy environment, and working together as a community to build a healthier municipality.

Adding excitement and creativity to the celebration, participants also showcased their talents in a Jingle-Making Contest, where they performed original jingles inspired by the seminar's theme, highlighting the importance of nutrition, environmental protection, and community involvement.

The Rotary Club of Limay remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote health, nutrition, environmental stewardship, and sustainable community development. Together, we continue to create lasting impact through service and partnership.

Educational Awareness on Dengue Fever, Hand-Foot-and-Mouth Disease, and Proper Handwashing

The Rotary Club of Limay, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Bataan Chapter, successfully conducted an Educational Awareness Program on Dengue Fever, Hand-Foot-and-Mouth Disease (HFMD), and Proper Handwashing on July 22, 2026, at E. Bernabe Elementary School.

The activity aimed to equip pupils, teachers, and school personnel with essential knowledge on preventing common infectious diseases through proper hygiene and early recognition of symptoms. Emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining a clean environment, eliminating mosquito breeding sites to prevent dengue, recognizing the signs and symptoms of Hand-Foot-and-Mouth Disease, and practicing proper handwashing as one of the most effective ways to stop the spread of illness.

The program featured informative discussions by Mr. LJ D. Andaya, Representative of the Philippine Red Cross – Bataan Chapter, who shared valuable health information and practical disease prevention measures. Dr. Randy N. Tallorin, School Principal of E. Bernabe Elementary School and President of the Rotary Club of Limay, also addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of health education and community collaboration in creating a safer and healthier learning environment for every child.

The Rotary Club of Limay extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Philippine Red Cross – Bataan Chapter, the school administration, teachers, and everyone who contributed to the success of this meaningful initiative.

Together, through education, prevention, and service, we continue to create healthier communities and Create Lasting Impact.
