Sa padayon nga pagpalig-on sa kapasidad sa mga komunidad sa pag-atubang sa mga risgo ug epekto sa climate-related hazards, malampusong nahuman ang Focus Group Discussion (FGD) ug Participatory Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (PRVA) Workshop sa mga 5 ka Barangays:

Pinaagi sa aktibong partisipasyon sa mga barangay officials, farmers, women, senior citizens, fisherfolks, Indigenous Peoples, Persons with Disabilities, ug uban pang sektor sa komunidad, nadungog ug natala ang ilang mga kasinatian, kabalaka, epekto sa mga risgo, coping mechanisms, ug mga panginahanglanon sa ilang tagsa-tagsa ka komunidad. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒŠ

Ang FGD ug PRVA dili lamang usa ka assessmentโ€”kini usa ka community-driven process diin ang tingog, kahibalo, ug kasinatian sa mga residente nahimong importante nga basehan sa pag-ila sa mga risgo ug pagplano alang sa mas lig-on ug mas climate-resilient nga komunidad.

๐Ÿ’ช Kung ang komunidad adunay tingog, adunay partisipasyon, ug adunay kahibalo, mas andam kini sa umaabot nga mga hagit.

Empowering Vulnerable Sectors, Strengthening Communities! ๐Ÿค

As part of the KALAHI-CIDSS Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP), a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Workshop were conducted in five barangays:

Panabang
New Bethlehem
Goaw
San Francisco
Dela Paz

The activity brought together representatives from vulnerable sectors to share their experiences, concerns, and needs. Their presence is vital to the KALAHI-CIDSS PCRP as it ensures that the voices and lived realities of those most affected by risks and challenges are heard and meaningfully considered in the planning and implementation of community interventions. Their active participation strengthens the programโ€™s commitment to inclusive, responsive, and community-driven development.

Through meaningful participation, the activity strengthens the capacity of vulnerable groups to contribute to community decision-making, disaster preparedness, resilience-building, and sustainable development. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’ช

Malampusong nahuman ang Participatory Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (PRVA) Workshop sa Barangay Baybay, Timan, Sta. Cruz, La Libertad, ug El Paraiso, Liloy Zamboanga Del Norte uban ang aktibong partisipasyon sa Barangay Captains, Barangay Officials, ug mga representante sa nagkalain-laing sektor sa komunidad.

Daghang salamat sa atong mga Barangay Captains ug Barangay Officials specially sa mga Barangay Resilience Team (BResT) sa inyong suporta ug aktibong pag-apil sa kalihokan. Ang inyong kooperasyon dako og tabang sa pagpalig-on ug ka-andam sa atong mga komunidad. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜๏ธโค๏ธ

Opisyal nga nahuman ang atong mga aktibidades sa Barangay Goin! ๐Ÿ’š

Pinaagi sa Community Walkthrough ug Risk Mapping, mas klaro nato nga na-identify ang mga lugar nga prone to risks sa matag Purok.

Una sa among giadtoan mao ang landslide-prone area. Nakita namo ang dagkong mga liki ug adunay mga bahin nga nabangag na. Matod pa sa mga residente, walay nagpuyo sa maong lugar, apan adunay mga hayupan sama sa mga baka nga ginatugway didto.

Importante usab kini nga area kay duol ug konektado sa kalsada. Kung mahitabo ang landslide, posible nga maapektuhan ug madaot ang dalan, nga mahimong peligroso sa mga molabay ug makapugong sa access sa komunidad.

Ikaduha nga risk nga na-identify mao ang mga palayan. Kung adunay bagyo o kusog nga ulan, labi na panahon sa ting-ani, mahimong maapektuhan ang mga humay tungod sa pagbaha. Kini nga mga palayan kasagaran agianan sa tubig, busa mahimong lisod ang pag-ani ug posible nga madaot ang mga pananom.

Through these activities, mas nasabtan nato ang actual risks sa komunidad ug ang possible impact niini sa mga residente, panginabuhian, ug access sa lugar. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

COMMUNITY WALKTHROUGH & RISK MAPPING | Barangay Ganase

On August 10, 2026, we conducted a Community Walkthrough and Risk Mapping in Barangay Ganase, together with the Barangay Resilience Team.

Through this activity, we identified potential hazards and risks affecting the community, including the possibility of sinkholes, flooding that may affect agricultural lands and farms, and landslides. ๐ŸŒง๏ธโ›ฐ๏ธ

This activity is an important step in understanding the communityโ€™s vulnerabilities and strengthening preparedness, resilience, and collective action toward a safer and more resilient Barangay Ganase. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’š
