Participants were introduced to the proper proceedings of the Oxford-Oregon Debate style, from writing position papers to understanding the flow of a formal debate.

After the lecture, students were grouped by grade level and paired for a mock debate, allowing them to apply what they had learned in a practical setting. This hands-on experience helped build their confidence, sharpen their reasoning skills, and prepare them for future competitions.

Through the different parts of the progrem we were reminded that reading is more than just words on a page. It broadens our understanding, strengthens our imagination, and empowers us to think critically and creatively. It allows us to explore new worlds, gain wisdom, and shape a better future for ourselves and our community. Together, we celebrated the power of reading and learning. ๐Ÿ“šโœจ
