To strengthen career readiness and connect students to essential government services, Ligao Community College (LiComCo) conducted Career Talk 2026 with the theme โLifelong Integration of Competence, Opportunities, and Career Orientationโ on April 16, 2026, at the LiComCo Gymnasium in Tomolin, Ligao City.
Present during the event were OIC College President Dr. Irene Barbero-Racho and AB Economics Program Head Mrs. Lennie Rose Podrido, MEcon.
The morning session featured discussions on job trends and workplace etiquette, delivered by Ms. Jessa Mae D. Opeรฑa of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
An orientation on PhilHealth benefits and the YAKAP Program was also conducted by Ms. Bernadette II L. Mendoza.
Representing the Social Security System (SSS) Region V, Ms. Jeanette Torallo-MAPA provided essential information on SSS membership and benefits.
Meanwhile, representatives from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Ms. Christine Jean C. Friaz and Ms. Geraldine R. Moico, discussed tax responsibilities and processes relevant to future professionals.
In the afternoon, a service caravan involving PhilHealth, BIR, and SSS provided on-site assistance to graduating fourth-year students.
The participating agencies assisted students in beginning the processing of employment requirements.
Through the efforts of the organizersโthe Confidants Club, led by Ms. Jizzalien Jose C. Garce, Guidance Coordinator and Testing Officerโthe activity was successfully conducted.
Through this initiative, LiComCo continues to prepare its graduates for the demands of the professional world.
