Caritas Diocese of Libmanan (CDL), in partnership with Caritas Germany and with funding support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), is implementing the four-year project entitled โStrengthening the Resilience of Older Persons, Women, and Persons with Disabilities in Camarines Sur, Philippines through Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction,โ which commenced on September 1, 2024, and will run until July 31, 2028.
As part of this initiative, Caritas Diocese of Libmanan conducted an Orientation on Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA) held on May 11โ14, 2026. The activity aimed to enhance the Municipal Federations of Persons with Disabilities, Women, and the Elderly, together with the guidance of LGU department heads, in understanding the CDRA Tool process and strengthening their capacity to contribute to the generation of relevant data and information in support of developing a clear roadmap toward a climate-adaptive, prepared, and resilient community. The training also focused on building the capacity of vulnerable sectors in collecting and organizing climate change and hazard information, analyzing the potential impacts of hazards and climate change, and developing an exposure database that will support inclusive, evidence-based, and needs-based disaster risk reduction initiatives.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Allen Roy Prila for serving as the resource speaker, and to all participating Local Government Units and Municipal Federations for their active engagement and valuable support in the successful conduct of this activity.
