: the highest love of all

As we end our series on the different kinds of love, we are reminded of the greatest example of Agape — God’s selfless and sacrificial love, reflected not only through the cross but also through the love and guidance of fathers and father figures in our lives.

𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒔𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅, 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝑺𝒐𝒏, 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆. 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 3:16

John 3:16 tells us that God's love gave, not because we earned it, but because He is love.

This Father’s Day, we thank God for the fathers and father figures who reflect His love through sacrifice, care, guidance, and faithfulness. Happy Father’s Day! ❤️

: romantic love marked by affection, attraction, and deep commitment

“𝑯𝒖𝒔𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔, 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒔 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒈𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒎𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒖𝒑 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒓.” — 𝑬𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 5:25

God created romantic love to be beautiful, intentional, and honoring to Him. In courtship and marriage, love goes beyond feelings—it grows through respect, faithfulness, patience, and choosing one another every day.

May our relationships reflect a kind of love that is pure, Christ-centered, and built to last. Happy Sabbath! ❤️

: loyal, God-centered friendship

As we come to the last Sabbath of May, let’s remember that love also looks like true friendship — the kind that reflects God's faithfulness.

“𝑨 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒅𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚.” – 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒔 17:17 (𝑵𝑰𝑽)

Take David and Jonathan. Their friendship was more than just getting along — it was loyal, courageous, and rooted in God’s purpose.

Jonathan, the son of King Saul, had every reason to be jealous of David, the rising young shepherd anointed to be king. But instead of letting pride or fear take over, Jonathan chose faith over fear, and love over rivalry.

When Jonathan’s own father wanted to harm David, he didn’t stay silent. He warned him, encouraged him, and kept a covenant of friendship, saying in 1 𝑺𝒂𝒎𝒖𝒆𝒍 20:4, "𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐, 𝑰’𝒍𝒍 𝒅𝒐 𝒊𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖."

Their bond was tested by danger — even death — but Jonathan remained faithful. And when Jonathan later died in battle, David never forgot him.

This is the kind of love that stays — through change, hardship, and even heartbreak.

May this kind of friendship find all of us. ❤️

Though Mother’s Day has passed, our gratitude for the love of mothers continues every day. Their quiet sacrifices, endless care, and unending support reflect one of the purest forms of love God has given us — a love rooted in the home.

Seated 🙌

This week took more from us than we expected. It asked for strength when we were already running low. It demanded patience when our hearts were already tired. We kept going, not because it was easy, but because we had no choice. But now the Sabbath comes, and it brings us back to Jesus. Not to a list of things we failed to do. Not to the weight of expectations. It brings us to a Person. To the One who already knows everything we have been through, and still chooses to draw near. Happy Sabbath beloved of Christ!
