Calling all interested planning students.

The UPOU Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) is exploring the enhancement of its DLUP program by integrating other sub-fields of planning while retaining its Open and Distance eLearning modalities. Anchored on the established Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning (DURP) programs, this initiative seeks to gather valuable insights through this survey to guide the development of a more responsive and relevant curriculum.

If you are interested in enrolling in the Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning (DURP) program, we kindly invite you to accomplish this needs assessment survey. Your responses will help us we proceed with the program adoption/institution process.

The PIEP Batangas Chapter attended the 1st Quarter Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) Meeting of the City of Lipa on March 30, 2026 at the City Planning and Development Office.

It was represented by Arc. Gerelson Bernardino , EnP.

Sa isinagawang PIEP Batangas Regular BOD Meeting ngayong Marso 28, 2026 na pinangunahan ni Arc. Cardelan Hernandez, President, tinalakay ang mga planong mga gawain ng Chapter para sa mas malawak na serbisyong pangkalikasan at mahusay na pagpaplano para sa mga kasapi at sa buong Lalawigan ng Batangas.

Ang pagpupulong ay naisagawa sa pamamagitan ng Online Zoom Platform dahil na rin sa umiiral na pagsunod sa direktibang inilabas ng Pangulong Marcos na Memorandum Circular No. 114 , series of 2026 gayundin ang Executive Order No. 07, series of 2026 ni Governor Vilma Santos - Recto, magpatibay ng mga kasanayan sa pagtitipid ng gasolina at i-optimize ang paggamit ng sasakyan nang hindi isinasakripisyo ang paghahatid ng serbisyo.

Tiniyak ng PIEP Batangas Chapter ang tuloy-tuloy na pagpapatupad ng mga programa at mga gawain na magpapabuti sa ating kapaligiran para sa bawat Batangueno at sa buong bansa.

For the year 2026, the 1st Quarter Field Monitoring Activity of the Provincial Project Monitoring Committee (PPMC) was scheduled on March 3 - 4, 2026

Day 1 - March 3 Monitoring Activity to the following projects.
* Construction of Riverbank Protection Structure along Binambang River (Upstream L/S, Balayan, Batangas
* Construction of Riverbank Protection Structure along Pansipit River, Lemery, Batangas
* Construction of New Bridge: Putingkahoy Bridge along Nasugbu -Lian - Calatagan Road

The implementing agency on these projects is the DPWH DEO 1st District.

Day 2 March 4 Monitoring Activity to the following projects

* Taal Lake Circumferential Road (Tanauan City Section)
* Construction of Malvar -Sto. Tomas Road
* Tanauan City - Sto Tomas Diversion Road via Sampalocan Road.

The implementing agency on these projects is the DPWH - DEO 3 District.

Findings, observations, issues arising on the project implementation, action taken and action to be taken/recommendations on the mentioned projects are submitted to the PPMC Secretariat.

Ronquillo, Jr., and the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners - Batangas Chapter, Arch. Cardela P. Hernandez, EnP. President, represented by EnP. Jovell Ilagan Castillo, MMEP, Chapter Auditor.

PIEP Batangas Chapter is one of the CSO representatives to the PPMC together with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry -Lipa City Chapter.

Pinangunahan ni Atty. Louie Mark M. Dalawampu, Provincial Legal Officer, Batangas Province ang panunumpa sa katungkulan ng mga opisyales ng Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners - Batangas Chapter ngayong ika-9 ng taong 2026 na ginanap sa Dream Zone, Capitol Site, Batangas City.

Nakasama rin sa gawain bilang mga panauhin ang mga opisyal ng Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, Department of Social Welfare and Development, at mga City/Municipal LGUs ng Balete, Tanauan, at Lipa.

Patuloy ang institusyon na magiging kabahagi sa pagpapaunlad sa tamang pagpapaplano tungo sa likas kayang pag-unlad para sa Lalawigan ng Batangas.

The Fourth (4th) Quarter Provincial Project Monitoring Committee (PPMC) Meeting was successfully conducted on December 17, 2025 at the Conference Hall, Provincial Planning and Development Office, Capitol Site , Kuomintang Ibaba, Batangas City.

Business of the Day was centered on the following:

1. PPMC Executive Order issued by the Provincial Governor Vilma Santos - Recto
2. Work and Financial Plan CY 2026 as approved and endorsed to Provincial Development Council (PDC)
3. The Monitoring Plan CY 2026 was also approved and endorsed to PDC.

The 4th Quarter Meeting also served as the Year-End Thanksgiving Day as we say "See You Around" not goodbye to other members leaving the PPMC and we WELCOME to the new PPMC members.
