Successfully concluded the 1st Quarter Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) Meeting. 💙💚

Presided over by Hon. Rodiz Clifford Mercado, the meeting was attended by active members of the Local Youth Development Council, particularly representatives from school-based and community-based youth organizations.

Thank you for your valuable time, participation, and commitment to youth development. Our heartfelt gratitude as well to the school heads and advisers for allowing the students to attend and take part in this quarter’s meeting.

Together, we continue to empower and strengthen our young leaders.

The SK and LYDC Year-End Evaluation and Christmas Party was successfully held on December 23, 2025, at Molopolo Beach Resort, Liloan, Southern Leyte.

The event was filled with fun and meaningful activities, including team-building games, activity processing, and open sharing of insights and experiences. It was a joyful and memorable moment that strengthened camaraderie, reflection, and unity among everyone present.

LOOK BACK | YOUTH IN ACTION

We are finally sharing some of the unposted activities of the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO)—a reflection of the collective effort, collaboration, and dedication behind every initiative.

These activities were made possible through our partnerships with various local, national, and non-government agencies, strengthening programs that genuinely respond to the needs of our youth.

The continued partnership between the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) led by Hon. Rodiz Clifford J. Mercado and LYDO spearheaded by Mrs. Micah R. Salem-Elviña, together with the active engagement of the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC), remains vital in advancing youth development in our municipality.

We gratefully acknowledge the strong and unwavering support of our Local Chief Executive, Hon. Mayor Oliver E. Ranque, and the full support of the Legislative Department under the leadership of Hon. Elizabeth Saldivar, Municipal Vice Mayor. Their shared commitment and leadership greatly contribute to the success and sustainability of youth-centered programs.

Key highlights include the SK and LYDC Continuing Training, Youth Participation in Child Protection, and Peer Education Training on Mental Health, all aimed at nurturing informed, resilient, and empowered young leaders.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who continuously supports and believes in our youth. Together, we move forward in building a safer, more inclusive, and youth-responsive Libagon.

In celebration of the 112th Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Libagon, the Local Government Unit of Libagon, through the Municipal Youth Development Office, proudly presents PASIGARBO 2025 — a night dedicated to honoring the remarkable contributions, leadership, and achievements of our youth and youth organizations.

With the theme “Selebrasyon sa Dungog, Handumanan sa Kalampusan,” this event will be held on October 11, 2025, at 7:00 PM, at the Municipal Plaza, Libagon, Southern Leyte.

Together, let us recognize and celebrate the young Libagonhons who continue to embody the spirit of service, excellence, and progress — the true pride of Libagon’s future.

As a way to celebrate the International Youth Day and to commence the Linggo ng Kabataan, an Adolescent Health Medical Mission was done through the partnership of UNICEF, Provincial Gov’t of Southern Leyte thru PHSO, LGU Libagon through the Local Youth Development Office and Municipal Health Office headed by Hon Oliver E. Ranque, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Libagon, Barangay Talisay and Jubas, Libagon Academy Foundation Inc and Libagon National High School.
