MNHS ALUMNI EXTENDS SUPPORT THROUGH EQUIPMENT DONATION

Matlang National High School’s (MNHS) Alumni Association donated a sound system that had a cost of ₱100,000. Baseball equipments, and a new printer were also donated during the 2024 Alumni Homecoming at MNHS in Merida, Leyte to support school programs and facilities.

The sound system is now actively used in school activities, assemblies, and programs, greatly improving the school's technical capabilities during events.

To enhance student-athletes’ performance, the association also funded complete baseball equipment, which the school used during the Sports Area Meet in Merida, Leyte.

A new school printer was also turned over by Batch 1990, headed by Engr. Jonathan Darwin Bandal, to help ease the printing needs of both teachers and students.

In addition, Hon. Ramon “Moching” Tan of Batch 1974 was recognized for his unwavering and longtime support to the school, serving as an inspiration to younger alumni.

The next homecoming will be hosted by Batch 1994 in 2027, and preparations are expected to begin as early as next year.

"Join us, dear alumni of Matlang National High School, as we come together in gratitude and celebration on August 26, 2024!

Our day begins at 5:30 AM with a Thanksgiving Mass at Saint Augustine Parish Church, Matlang Isabel Leyte. Following the mass, the grand parade starts at 7:00 AM from Saint Augustine Parish, passing through PEMC and IBMPC, and concluding at the Matlang NHS gym.

The Grand Opening at Matlang NHS grounds kicks off at 8:00 AM, followed by a day filled with reminiscing, reconnecting, and rejoicing in our shared history.

As the sun sets, gather for a grand alumni dinner at Matlang Freedom Square at 6:00 PM, leading into the grand alumni program at 8:00 PM.
