Mga ka-BU Tabaco, we humbly knock on your kind hearts. 💔

Our alumna, 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮, was recently involved in a serious accident in 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆. Due to the impact, she sustained 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁, requiring 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆. She is currently confined in the hospital, and the cost of her operation, medications, and continuous medical care is rapidly increasing.

At this critical time, her family is in urgent need of support to cover the expenses and ensure that she receives the treatment she urgently needs.

The Asia-Pacific Society of Volunteers, Inc. expresses its full support for the Department of Education’s proposed implementation of the trimester system as a progressive step toward strengthening the Philippine education sector.

We recognize that transitioning to a trimester academic structure promotes a more balanced and responsive learning environment. By dividing the school year into shorter, more focused terms, learners are given better opportunities to absorb lessons, reflect on their progress, and engage more meaningfully in their studies. This approach also helps address student fatigue, supports teacher effectiveness, and allows for more timely assessment and intervention.

As an organization committed to community development and educational advancement, we believe that this reform aligns with the broader goal of nurturing adaptable, resilient, and future-ready learners. We encourage all stakeholders—educators, parents, and the wider community—to work collaboratively in ensuring the successful and inclusive implementation of this initiative.
