Educo Philippines and Federation of Associations for Communities and Children's Empowerment Inc., in partnership with DepEd Region V, SDO Albay & Sorsogon Province, conclude Project UPGRADE, through the Learning Forum, "Beyond the Pages: Rethinking Literacy Instruction through Play, Music, and Movement."

HAPPENING NOW: Educo Philippines is with DepEd Region V, Federation of Associations for Communities and Children's Empowerment Inc., MLGUs, and Community Support Volunteers from Castilla, Donsol, and Manito for the conduct of the Learning Forum, "BEYOND THE PAGES: Rethinking Literacy Instruction through Play, Music, and Movement." This also serves as the culminating activity of Project UPGRADE (Upgrading the Literacy of Emerging and Developing Readers of Primary Graders through Play, Music, and Movement).

The work for Project RESPOND officially begins! 🤝🏻

Project RESPOND aims to strengthen child protection systems by increasing public awareness and improving how stakeholders identify, prevent, report, and respond to child abuse and exploitation.

Following a productive Inception and Planning Meeting, Educo Philippines and BCCD - Bicol Center for Community Development, Inc. aligned their goals, strategies, and priorities for the months ahead. The activity also allowed the team to reflect on the changes they hope to create in strengthening child protection systems across the project’s intervention areas.

Tatlong bagsak para sa Project CLAP! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

From March to May 2026, 406 young advocates from Project CLAP took the lead in advocating for issues that matter most to children and adolescents. Through the Municipal Advocacy Forums, these child leaders proved that age is never a barrier to making an impact.

Ngayong Mother’s Day, binibigyang-pugay namin ang lahat ng mga tumayong magulang at tagapangalaga, na katuwang namin sa pagtataguyod ng karapatan at kinabukasan ng bawat bata.

On April 24, 2026, Educo Philippines, BCCD Inc., and the Caramoran LGU conducted an exploratory visit to the ICARE Hub in Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon—one of the country’s most effective Women and Children Protection Units (WCPU).

The team was warmly welcomed by the LGU of Prieto Diaz, who toured the team around their facilities and shared valuable insights on how their WCPU operates, including their best practices and sustainable efforts in delivering child protection services. The visit aimed to gather operational insights to establish and strengthen the WCPU in Caramoran, particularly in coordination, service delivery, case management, and stakeholder engagement.

This activity is significant for Project RESPOND, a new child protection initiative of Educo Philippines to be implemented by BCCD Inc. in Educo’s partner areas. One of the project’s major components is the establishment of a WCPU in Caramoran, Catanduanes, to respond to child abuse and sexual abuse cases. The learnings from Prieto Diaz will help guide the development of a responsive, community-driven, and sustainable WCPU in Caramoran.

Project RESPOND aims to replicate and adapt to these successes, ensuring that children in Caramoran will receive the protection and support they rightfully deserve. 🤝🏻

We are proud to officially launch Project RISE: Reading Initiatives for Schools and Empowered Homes in Cotabato City! 🚀

This initiative, a collaboration between Educo Philippines and Ecosystems Work for Essential Benefits, Inc. (EcoWEB), and co-implemented with the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) and the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Cotabato City, is a collective response to the literacy crisis and resilience gaps faced by early-grade learners in vulnerable communities and schools in the BARMM Region, particularly in selected pilot schools in Cotabato City.

As part of the pilot year, there will also be a Child Rights and Wellbeing Situational Analysis (CRWSA) that will be led by Ha Uman Association, another local partner in BARMM.
