CGADBCL District Auxiliary Director Pays Courtesy Call to Naga City Mayor Leni G. Robredo

NAGA CITY – August 6, 2025 – Auxiliary Captain Roberto Salvosa PCGA, District Auxiliary Director (DAD) of the Coast Guard Auxiliary District Bicol (CGADBCL), led a courtesy call earlier today on Naga City Mayor Leni Gerona Robredo at the City Mayor’s Office.

DAD Salvosa was accompanied by Auxiliary Officers from the 902nd Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron (CGAS), reaffirming the unit’s commitment to work hand in hand with the City Government in promoting maritime safety and disaster resilience.

One of the key agenda items was the initial presentation of the Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) project, a major initiative being pursued by Coast Guard District Bicol Commander, Commodore Ivan R Roldan PCG. The project aims to strengthen the region’s capabilities in responding to water-related emergencies and natural disasters through training and community preparedness.

In line with the auxiliary’s expanding presence, DAD Salvosa also formally requested the provision of an office space for the 902nd CGAS within Naga City to support operational efficiency and improve coordination of community-based programs.

The group likewise expressed their intent for the Coast Guard Auxiliary Bicol to again actively participate in the upcoming Peñafrancia Fluvial Procession this September. Their involvement is expected to reinforce safety and security measures during the grand religious event.

Mayor Robredo welcomed the delegation and expressed her full support for the initiatives presented. She lauded the continued efforts of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in upholding public safety and fostering collaborative governance.

The courtesy call concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen partnerships between the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the City Government of Naga in the service of the Bicolano community.
