Today, June 11, 2026, at the Pandan Municipal Hall, Bicol University and Catanduanes State University presented the outcomes of the KUGOS Program Stakeholder’s Consultation and conducted a review of the Memorandum of Agreement.

Empowering Child Development Workers: Building Foundations for the Future 📚✨

As part of the preparatory phase for the "Kugos Edukasyon kan Tawo" project, a comprehensive needs assessment was recently conducted to identify competency gaps and capacity development priorities among our frontline educators. The results will serve as an evidence base to design effective training interventions and community engagement strategies focused on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD).

In line with this, the team successfully held the activity "Engaging Our New Gen Young Learners" last April 23, 2026, at the Sangguniang Bayan Hall in Pamplona, Camarines Sur. The event was attended by 12 dedicated Child Development Workers (CDWs) from the municipality.

The session was facilitated by our team from BU KUGOS, Kugos Kinaban, and the BIDANI Project, with Dr. Marcia Corazon P. Rico, Component Leader of KUGOS Edukasyon, serving as the resource speaker. We were also honored by the presence and support of Hon. Manuel O. Agustin, Municipal Mayor of Pamplona.

The activity covered:
✅ Orientation on data gathering and baseline forms
✅ Effective teaching strategies and communication techniques
✅ Child-centered and inclusive approaches
✅ Workshop and demonstration of learning activities

Through interactive discussions and workshops, the participants gained practical knowledge and skills to become proactive and innovative leaders in ECCD service delivery.

This initiative reflects the strong partnership between Bicol University and the Local Government Unit of Pamplona, working together to elevate the quality of early childhood education in our communities.
