O Blessed Mother,
In my moments of sorrow and pain, I turn to you,
For you are the gentle refuge of the weary,
The comfort of the brokenhearted.

Hold me close, dear Mother,
As you once cradled your Son in love.
Whisper to my heart the peace of His presence,
And strengthen me with your tender embrace.

Help me trust in God’s plan,
Even when I do not understand.
Let your motherly love be my light,
Guiding me to hope beyond my tears.

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month. Amen.

Holy Virgin Mary, you are reigning in glory, with Jesus, your Son.
Remember us in our sadness. Look kindly on all who are suffering or fighting against any difficulty.
Have pity on those who are separated from someone they love.
Have pity on the loneliness of our hearts.
Have pity on the weakness of our faith and love.
Have pity on those who are weeping, on those who are praying, on those who are fearful.
Holy Mother, please obtain for all of us hope and peace with justice.

EVENING PRAYER 🙏🏻 🌆 🙏🏻

O my God, I present myself before Thee at the end of another day, to offer Thee anew the homage of my heart. I humbly adore Thee, my Creator, my Redeemer, and my Judge! I believe in Thee, because Thou art Truth itself; I hope in Thee, because Thou art faithful to Thy promises; I love Thee with my whole heart, because Thou art infinitely worthy of being loved; and for Thy sake I love my neighbor as myself.

Enable me, O my God, to return Thee thanks as I ought for all Thine inestimable blessings and favors. Thou hast thought of me, and loved me from all eternity; Thou hast formed me out of nothing; Thou hast delivered up Thy beloved Son to the ignominious death of the Cross for my redemption; Thou hast made me a member of Thy holy Church; Thou hast preserved me from falling into the abyss of eternal misery, when my sins had provoked Thee to punish me; and Thou hast graciously continued to spare me, even though I have not ceased to offend Thee. What return, O my God, can I make for Thine innumerable blessings, and particularly for the favors of this day? O all ye Angels and Saints, unite with me in praising the God of mercies, who is so bountiful to so unworthy a creature.

Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to you. Allow Your healing Hand to heal me.
Touch my soul with Your compassion for others; touch my heart with Your courage and infinite Love for all; touch my mind with Your Wisdom, and may my mouth always proclaim Your praise.

Teach me to reach out to You in all my needs,
and help me to lead others to You by my example. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring me health in body and spirit that I may serve You with all my strength.

Touch gently this life which you have created, now and forever. Amen.

The Catholic Diocese of Shendam is appealing for prayers for the “quick and safe release” of Fr. Cornelius Manzak Damulak, who was abducted on Thursday, February 6.

“We invite all Christ’s faithful and all people of goodwill to storm the heavens with prayer for his quick and safe release from the hands of abductors,” Fr. Joshua Daffa, the Chancellor of the Nigerian Catholic Diocese, has said.

He added, “We entrust our brother, Fr. Cornelius Manzak Damulak to the maternal intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary our Mother and all the saints to keep him strong and to return him back to us safe.”
