𝐖𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 | PIDO–Diday Tamaoyan National Women’s Month Celebration

The celebration of National Women’s Month by PIDO–Diday Tamaoyan last March 28, 2026, at the Tamaoyan Multipurpose Hall was a powerful testament to the strength and leadership of women in our community. The event concluded with a meaningful Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected officers, followed by a vibrant Evening Social Dance participated in by PIDO–Didays from different barangays which are Pawa 1, Rizal, Rawis, EM’s Barrio 1, and Bonga—truly showcasing solidarity and sisterhood.

The entire day was filled with purposeful and heartfelt activities. It began in the morning with a Community Clean-Up Drive coupled with a Food for Work Program, reflecting the spirit of bayanihan and shared responsibility. In the afternoon, participants were treated to a Free Pamper Session, alongside the distribution of free medicines and hygiene essentials—simple yet meaningful acts of care and empowerment for every woman present. As night fell, the celebration reached its peak with the Oath-Taking Ceremony, symbolizing renewed leadership and commitment, followed by an Evening Social Dance that celebrated joy, unity, and empowerment. 🫶🏻

This successful and impactful celebration would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners, TAU Gamma Phi – Tamaoyan Chapter and Alpha Kappa Rho – Tamaoyan Chapter, whose dedication to community service helped bring this event to life. 🥰

𝐏𝐈𝐃𝐎–𝐃𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐕𝐀𝐖𝐂 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

In a strong show of solidarity and commitment to women’s rights, PIDO–Diday Tamaoyan actively participated in the Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC) campaign held on March 28, 2026, at the Tamaoyan Session Hall. The activity was organized by Alpha Phi Omega (APO) in partnership with the Barangay Council of Tamaoyan as part of its continuing efforts to promote awareness, protection, and support for women and children in the community.

The initiative gathered women and community members to discuss pressing issues surrounding violence against women and children. Through the campaign, participants were educated on the different forms of abuse, the legal protections available, and the importance of reporting and preventing such cases at the grassroots level.

Members of PIDO–Diday Tamaoyan took an active role in the activity, reinforcing their commitment to advocating for safe spaces and empowered communities. Their participation highlighted the vital role of women’s organizations in strengthening community-based responses to gender-based violence.

The activity held greater significance as it coincided with the celebration of National Women’s Month—an observance that not only honors the achievements of women but also calls for continued action in safeguarding their rights and welfare.

As the campaign concluded, participants expressed their shared commitment to continue raising awareness and promoting collective responsibility in ending violence against women and children. With organizations like PIDO–Diday Tamaoyan taking part, the community moves forward in fostering a safer, more inclusive, and empowered environment for all.

The newly elected officers of PIDO-Diday Tamaoyan formally took their oath of office on March 28, 2026, at the Tamaoyan Multipurpose Hall, marking the beginning of a new chapter in leadership and service for women in Tamaoyan.

The oath-taking ceremony was led by the Founder and President of PIDO-Diday Women’s Empowerment, Inc., Ma’am Nasreen J. Ismail - Garbin, who emphasized the importance of strong, compassionate, and purpose-driven leadership in advancing the welfare of women and the community as a whole.

The event served as one of the highlights of the PIDO-Diday Tamaoyan National Women’s Month Celebration, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to empower women and promote inclusive community development.

In her message, Ismail-Garbin highlighted the importance of open communication and reaffirmed her strong support, along with the City Government of Legazpi headed by Mayor Hisham Ismail, for all women in Legazpi.

The ceremony was attended by members, partners, and guests, who expressed their support for the new set of leaders. The event concluded with a sense of renewed commitment to continue initiatives that uplift and empower women in the barangay.

As the new officers assume their positions, the community looks forward to programs and projects that will further strengthen the role of women in building a progressive and inclusive Tamaoyan.

PIDO-Diday Tamaoyan conducted a 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 last March 28, 2026, offering free massage, haircut, hair color, manicure, and pedicure for women in the barangay. 💜

Former Barangay Kagawad and AKB Coordinator, Mrs. Alma J. Apuli, also distributed free medicines, vitamins, and hygiene kits to senior citizens. 🥰

As we conclude this year’s National Women’s Month, PIDO-Diday Tamaoyan, in partnership with Tau Gamma Phi – Tamaoyan Chapter and Alpha Kappa Rho – Tamaoyan Chapter, successfully spearheaded a 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐩 Drive last March 28, 2026.

The activity started from the 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐤 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐤, showcasing unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility among community members. ✨

More than just a clean-up drive, this initiative also served as a 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, where rice was distributed to those who actively participated—turning simple acts of service into meaningful support for our people. 💜
