As part of its unwavering commitment to holistic community development and youth empowerment, the continues to promote compassion, generosity, and social responsibility through its Socio-Cultural Development Program. Beyond its regular educational, health, and livelihood initiatives, the Foundation upholds the spirit of giving by organizing meaningful activities that bring joy, hope, and a sense of belonging to children and families, especially during the holiday season.

In celebration of Christmas 2025, SCFI successfully conducted its Annual Gift-Giving Activity from December 11–17, 2025, reaching 600 children from its 12 partner communities and program areas: Buyoan, Legazpi City; Mabinit, Legazpi City, Matanag, Legazpi City; Bogtong, Legazpi City; Matnog, Daraga, Albay; San Bernardo, Tiwi, Albay; Nagas, Tiwi, Albay; Lidong, Sto. Domingo, Albay; Buenavista, Legazpi City; Budiao, Daraga, Albay; Tumpa, Camalig, Albay; and Quirangay, Camalig, Albay.

The activity was made more meaningful through the active participation of Barangay Council members and community volunteers who worked closely with SCFI staff in the planning and implementation of the program, strengthening collaboration and shared responsibility in supporting children’s welfare.

Through this initiative, SCFI aimed not only to spread holiday cheer but also to instill values of empathy, gratitude, and generosity among children and partner communities. The Christmas season is a time of joy, warmth, and togetherness; however, many underprivileged families continue to face financial hardships that limit their ability to fully experience the spirit of the holidays. In response, the Sunwest Care Foundation Inc. (SCFI) once again implemented its Annual Christmas Grocery Giving Program to extend support and share the spirit of Christmas with vulnerable communities.

On December 9–10, 2025, SCFI successfully conducted the distribution of 500 grocery packs across its eleven (11) program areas: Buyoan, Legazpi City; Matanag, Legazpi City; Bogtong, Legazpi City; Matnog, Daraga, Albay; San Bernardo, Tiwi, Albay; Nagas, Tiwi, Albay; Lidong, Sto. Domingo, Albay; Buenavista, Legazpi City; Budiao, Daraga, Albay; Tumpa, Camalig, Albay; and Quirangay, Camalig, Albay. The initiative prioritized indigent families, ensuring equitable distribution among the areas to reach those most in need.

Each distribution activity was accompanied by a short program led by the respective barangay, beginning with preliminaries and a welcoming message from the Barangay Captain or designated council representative. Local officials expressed their gratitude to SCFI for its continued commitment and generosity in supporting their communities.

Through this annual initiative, SCFI continues to uphold its mission of compassion and community support by helping families experience a more meaningful and joyful Christmas season.

The Sunwest Care Foundation Inc. (SCFI's) Health Program is a community-focused initiative dedicated to providing accessible and responsive medical assistance to individuals and families in need.

Thus, last October 24, 2025, the assigned Community Relations Officer conducted a Home visitation and interview to the family of Brielle Ashley Sales from Matnog, Daraga, Albay. The assessment identified the urgent need for hearing intervention and the family’s financial difficulty in accessing medical services.

SCFI provided end-to-end assistance, including transportation support from Legazpi City to Manila on November 17, 2025, facilitation of hearing assessment and measurement at Manila Hearing Aid Inc. on November 22, 2025, and support during the hearing aid installation and follow-up check-up on November 24, 2025. The Foundation also assisted in the client’s safe return to Albay on November 30, 2025.

Overall, SCFI’s coordinated support throughout the entire process resulted in the successful provision of a hearing aid, significantly improving Brielle Ashley’s communication and quality of life, while demonstrating the Foundation’s commitment to accessible and compassionate medical assistance.

The Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) of Barangay Bogtong successfully conducted its Children’s Month Celebration on November 30, 2025. The activity featured a series of fun and educational games, interactive sessions, and group activities designed to promote children’s well-being, active participation, teamwork, cooperation, and healthy competition, while providing a safe and enjoyable environment for learning and social development.

In support of the celebration, the Sunwest Care Foundation, Inc. (SCFI) provided snacks for 200 children who participated in the event. This assistance helped ensure that the young participants remained energized and engaged throughout the activities.

Through this initiative, SCFI reinforced its commitment to promoting child welfare, supporting community-based programs, and contributing to meaningful and inclusive celebrations for children in the community.

Sunwest Care Foundation Inc. (SCFI) continued its support for child-focused community activities by sponsoring prizes for the Children’s Month Celebration 2025 organized by the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) and Matnog Day Care Center. The prizes were officially turned over on November 28, 2025, in preparation for the celebration held on November 29, 2025.

The event featured a variety of fun and educational games, including Bring Me, Trip to Jerusalem, Cup Challenge, Kalamansi Relay, and Train Game, which encouraged the children to actively participate, build teamwork, develop social skills, and boost their confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

Through the provision of prizes, it helped make the celebration more exciting and meaningful for the young participants, fostering joy, camaraderie, and active involvement throughout the activity. As part of the Children’s Month Celebration 2025, Sunwest Care Foundation Inc. (SCFI) supported the Tree Growing Activity conducted by Barangay Tumpa on November 23, 2025. The activity aimed to instill environmental awareness among children, youth, and community members while promoting volunteerism, climate awareness, and shared responsibility in protecting the environment.

SCFI provided snacks for the 160 participants who joined the activity held at the upper area of Purok 1, helping ensure the smooth and successful implementation of the event. Through this initiative, the Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to community development, environmental sustainability, and strengthening partnerships with local communities.

Sunwest Care Foundation, Inc. (SCFI) successfully conducted the distribution of rice for typhoon-affected communities in Rapu-Rapu on November 19–20, 2025.

A total of 1,108 families from the barangays of Viga, Pagcolbon, Malobago, Linao, Tinopan, and Binosawan received rice packs. These areas were among the most affected by Typhoon Uwan, with many families experiencing damaged homes and disrupted livelihoods.

The repacking activity was led by SCFI staff headed by Executive Director Ma’am Gemina O. Quiros, in collaboration with SWI staff, showcasing strong teamwork and bayanihan. Distribution was conducted in respective barangay covered courts, ensuring an organized and accessible process for all beneficiaries. Through this effort, SCFI reaffirms its commitment to stand with communities in times of need.

Sunwest Care Foundation, Inc. (SCFI) continues to strengthen its partnership with program communities by supporting meaningful local initiatives.

On November 18, 2025, SCFI supported Barangay Budiao in its annual Gandang Ginang 2025 held at the barangay covered court—an event celebrating married women and recognizing their confidence, talents, and vital roles in the community.

To ensure the success of the activity, SCFI provided tokens and sashes for the candidates, The Foundation also took part in the awarding ceremony, presenting the special recognition “Gandang Ginang Sunwest Care” to a candidate who best exemplified confidence, community involvement, and positive values.

Sunwest Care Foundation, Inc. (SCFI), with the support of SUWECO and Barangay Councils, successfully conducted a two-day food pack distribution for typhoon uwan-affected families in Catanduanes.

On November 13, 2025, SCFI staff and scholars prepared the food packs through a repacking activity. The distribution followed on November 14 in Barangay Solong, San Miguel, benefiting 241 families, and on November 15 in Barangay Obi, Caramoran, reaching 364 families.

As the Christmas season approached, the initiative brought not only essential support but also hope and comfort to the communities. The food packs served as reminders that they are not alone, and that there are partners ready to stand with them in times of need.
