Empowering Hearts, Transforming Lives
The Story of Maria Ysabella Francesca Sapienza and the Train of Love and Kindness Foundation
Founded and led by Maria Ysabella Francesca S, the Train of Love and Kindness (TLK) is a beacon of hope, compassion, and generosity. It is a thriving organization dedicated to supporting various causes and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of others.
Maria Ysabella Francesca Sapienza, affectionately known as Bella, has embarked on a journey into pageantry to extend the reach of her charity programs and advocacies, including "Be Your Own Healthy Weight" and "I Am Safe."
Born in Legazpi, Albay, Bella spent her formative years in the United States, where she excelled in volleyball, playing for Six Pack and VB Rags Clubs, as well as East Brunswick School as a Setter/Libero. She has been part of NABA Intercity Volleyball since she was 12 years old, playing with her Queens Long Island Women's Volleyball Team until 2022.
From a young age, Bella demonstrated a strong work ethic, starting in the bakery and restaurant industry at the age of 16 to help finance TLK's charity programs. Her dedication to making a difference led her to join the Ms. Philippines USA pageant, where she was blessed to clinch the crown as Ms.
Young Philippines USA 2021.
Returning to the Philippines, Bella initially joined the Lady Tamaraws, but ultimately found her home with the Adamson Lady Falcons. She is poised to kickstart her rookie year with the team this July while continuing her advocacies.
Beyond her achievements in sports and philanthropy, Bella is a daughter, a sister to three brothers, a friend, and a beacon of inspiration for many. Her multifaceted journey underscores her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the world around her.
From its humble beginnings, the foundation has grown into a flourishing entity, open to collaboration and coordination with like-minded organizations that share its vision, objectives, and goals. TLK's journey began with a simple act of kindness - raising funds to support Bella's cousin's operations for a double cleft lip and palate.
Over the years, TLK has extended its reach to touch the lives of countless individuals and communities in need. From sponsoring feeding programs at Banquerohan National High School to providing assistance to the Banquerohan volleyball team, the foundation has consistently demonstrated its commitment to making a positive difference.
In times of crisis, TLK has stepped up to offer aid and relief to those affected by natural disasters such as typhoon Odette. Through donations of medical supplies and support for Brigada Eskwela initiatives, TLK has helped rebuild communities and provide essential resources to those in need.
One of TLK's primary initiatives is its outreach efforts in collaboration with Divine Word College - High School Batch '97 for Legazpi children. Through this partnership, TLK has provided essential equipment such as food blenders, nebulizers, and wheelchairs to children with disabilities in Legazpi City and the rest of Albay province. These donations have significantly improved the quality of life for these individuals, making it easier for them to receive the care and support they need.
TLK's outreach programs extend beyond medical assistance, reaching out to vulnerable populations such as children with cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, and other conditions. Through initiatives such as food blender distribution and wheelchair donations, TLK aims to alleviate the daily challenges faced by these children and their families. Some wheelchairs are not only provided to children but also to seniors in need of mobility assistance.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, TLK remained steadfast in its mission to spread love and kindness. The foundation extended its support to frontline workers, offered assistance to homes for girls and boys in Manila, and reached out to street children in the U-Belt area whenever opportunities arose
Additionally, TLK has partnered with various organizations and individuals to organize feeding programs, support mountain climbers in feeding children in Legazpi City and the rest of Albay province, and collaborate with Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) nursing staff to bring joy to sick pediatric patients.
One of TLK's active charitable endeavors is its support for the Magayon Volleyball Academy (MVA). MVA, nestled in the heart of the Bicol region, aims to nurture young athletes starting from the age of 10, providing them with opportunities to excel in volleyball.
TLK's partnership with MVA, BRIDGES THE GAP BETWEEN GRASSROOTS TALENT and ELITE TRAINING, offering opportunities for Bicolano youth to pursue their dreams in sports. By providing resources, guidance, and support, TLK empowers MVA athletes to excel both on and off the court.
Through TLK's unwavering commitment, MVA has flourished, becoming a symbol of hope and inspiration for the local community. As MVA continues to grow and thrive, TLK's impact on the academy serves as a testament to the transformative power of love, kindness, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.
ONE ACT OF KINDNESS AT A TIME.
