Let us be one with Christ, embracing His sacrifice offered for our salvation.

17th DYWC Facilitators' Seminar-Workshop 📢

To prepare our facilitators in leading their parishes and communities in a solemn and meaningful celebration of the Way of the Cross, we invite you to join the 17th Diocesan Youth Way of the Cross Facilitators Seminar-Workshop on February 14, 2025, 8:00 AM onwards, at St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, Legazpi City.

Every parish and school is encouraged to designate at least two (2) delegates, preferably the Youth Coordinator and/or Youth Leader.

𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗦𝗔𝗞𝗦𝗜: 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 ✨

The Vicarial Commission on Youth (VCY) of the Vicariate of St. Gregory the Great successfully conducted its first-ever 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗦𝗔𝗞𝗦𝗜: 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Nativity Hall and Chapel, St. Joseph Freinademetz Campus, Divine World College of Legazpi.

The VCY extends its sincere gratitude to the main celebrant of the Send-off Mass, Rev. Fr. Lyndon Balubar, Vicar Forane of the Vicariate of St. Gregory the Great; to Rev. Fr. Jay Gargaceran, Vicarial Youth Spiritual Director; to Rev. Fr. Andro De Vera, Chairman of the Diocesan Commission on Youth; and to Rev. Fr. Luigi, SdC, of Harong kan Sagrada Familia, for their pastoral presence and support.

The awarding ceremony was held after the Mass, recognizing the presence and active participation of seven out of ten parish delegations within the vicariate. Special recognition was given to the early bird delegation, 1. St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Banquerohan, Legazpi City. The participating delegations also included:
2. St. Roche Parish – Taysan, Legazpi City
3. St. Gregory the Great Cathedral Parish – Old Albay District, Legazpi City
4. Our Lady of the Gate Parish – Daraga, Albay
5. Our Lady of Salvation Parish – Anislag, Daraga, Albay
6. Our Lady of the Assumption Parish – Malabog, Daraga, Albay
7. St. John the Baptist Parish – Camalig, Albay

This Vicarial Youth Day was made possible through the collective presence and commitment of all participants. They remain the reason the youth gather, celebrate, and continue the mission. Truly, the youth are 𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙮𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙖𝙣, 𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣, 𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙨𝙪𝙜𝙤, witnessing the Divine Word through their faith and action.

The VCY also expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Divine Word College of Legazpi for opening its doors and providing not just a venue, but a home and hope for VYD 2026 to come to fruition. Special thanks are extended to Sir Pius Matusalem, DWCL Campus Ministry Unit Head, for the warm accommodation at the Nativity Hall and Chapel.

This celebration marks only the beginning as the Vicariate journeys together toward the 75th Diamond Jubilee of the Diocese of Legazpi. The youth look forward to gathering once more in upcoming diocesan youth events and vicarial youth meetings.
