Albay Yacht Club

Albay Yacht Club The Albay Yacht Club stands as an outstanding sailing destination, offering the unique opportunity to sail alongside majestic whale sharks.

The club was established in 1907, but laid dormant for many years. In 2020, a dedicated group of sailing enthusiasts came together to organize a Family Boatbuilding Weekend event. Their goal was to construct 12 Oz Goose sailboats as part of an initiative to revive and breathe new life into the club.

Special mention to Reymar Bahoy Latoza who pulled a first ON a Philippine Sailing Association OPTIMIST against bigger boats in the Oz Goose Sailing Boat Open Group

Redo Basallote and Raymond took first overall in Peter Policarpio’s Stitch Oz Goose.

Due to our non issuance of a Notice of Race NOR for our regular last Sunday of the month regatta, we will not be having races tomorrow.

Instead, we will shoot for Labor Day Weekend as a race weekend.
