Named after Microscopium, the southern constellation associated with the microscope, The Microscopium embodies the pursuit of truth through keen observation, critical inquiry, and the courage to look beyond the apparent.
Just as the microscope unveils what remains unseen, journalism seeks what remains untold. It examines the overlooked, questions the unquestioned, and gives form to stories that might otherwise fade into silence. And just as individual stars unite to form a constellation, diverse voices converge to illuminate a greater truth.
Yet no constellation emerges fully formed. Every star must find its place; every legacy must have its beginning.
As we lay the foundations of The Microscopium, we seek writers who can give language to ideas, editors who can refine stories into clarity, photojournalists who can capture what words cannot, layout artists who can give vision a form, and creatives whose perspectives deserve to be seen and heard.
Let us build this publication from the ground up. Let us give our college a voice that observes with discernment, writes with purpose, and speaks with integrity.
The sky is vast. The stories are countless. The Microscopium has yet to take shape.
Will you be among the first stars to give it light? โจ
