The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) & MDRRM Office of Leganes officially launched the ALIVE Program!

ALIVE (A Local DRRMC’s Intensified Program for Vulnerable Groups and Skill Enhancement and Capacity Building) is all about making sure EVERYONE in our community is prepared, empowered, and safe during disasters.

This momentous launch was made possible through the collaboration and active participation of our essential partner agencies and responder groups:

- 3CMO "Peacemaker" Battalion, CMOR, PA
- Iloilo Citizens Action Group Inc.

Key Highlights & Initiatives:
- Inclusive DRRM Training: Specialized emergency training for Senior Citizens, Women, Children, and PWDs.

- Physical Fitness Activities: Keeping our community active, healthy, and emergency-ready.

- e-BALDE / Go Bag Orientation & Distribution: Essential disaster relief kit preparation.

- Batang Empowered Project: School-based disaster preparedness in partnership with DepEd.

- Accessible Early Warnings: Customized alert systems designed specifically for the hearing impaired.

- Child-Friendly Spaces: Dedicated safe areas equipped for children in all municipal evacuation centers.

On behalf of DRRM YOUTH of Leganes, we would like to congratulate Our very own adviser Sir " Gerard Patrick Cabardo" for successfully completing the Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for Facilitators held last October 13-20 at EON Centennial Resort & Waterpark, Iloilo City. You’ve not only completed the training but have grown as future mentors and leaders. Keep the passion for teaching alive and continue to share your knowledge with others. Sir Patrick is now part of the pool of trainers in Iloilo Province who can extend help to other municipalities and communities that need his expertise.
