Representatives from 9 countriesโCambodia, China, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnamโand 8 organizations, including the ZSL - Mangrove and Beach Forest Rehabilitation and Conservation, Coral Triangle Initiative, IUCN, UNEP WCMC, COBSEA, South China Sea (SCS-SAP), DENR, and the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity, gathered at the Leganes Integrated Katunggan EcoPark (LIKE).
The visit, joined by key figures such as Mr. Mahesh Pradhan (COBSEA Coordinator), Ms. Mariglo Laririt of DENR, and Mr. Anders Poulsen (South China Sea Project Manager), highlighted Leganesโ efforts in mangrove conservation, coastal protection, and sustainable eco-tourismโshowcasing the municipality as a model for climate resilience and biodiversity preservation across the region.
