⛑️National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 🚨

The School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee (SDRRMC) successfully led the earthquake drill held on November 6, 2025.

The activity aimed to enhance students’ and staff’s preparedness in responding to emergencies, ensuring everyone knows the proper safety measures during an earthquake. Under the guidance of the SDRRMC officers and their adviser, Sir Eldridge Garcia, the drill emphasized the importance of calmness, quick thinking, and cooperation in times of disaster 🆘

The drill showcased the school’s commitment to promoting a culture of safety and disaster resilience, empowering every student to be ready, aware, and proactive in any emergency situation‼️

🚨Ready. Alert. Prepared. Always! 🔥

During the 2nd backyard camping of the Scouts, the SDRRMC just leveled up the skills of our amazing Scouts with a hands-on lecture on Emergency Preparedness! From learning about disasters and what to do during emergencies, to mastering first aid, CPR, bandaging, and splinting — they got it all covered! 🫡

Common illnesses and school-related health issues are also discussed, empowering every scout to respond calmly and confidently when it matters most. Because preparedness isn’t just knowledge — it’s a lifesaving skill!

Big salute to the SDRRMC Officers and our SCOUTS for staying alert today, heroes tomorrow!

INTRAMURALS AND MUNICIPAL MEET 2025🏀

With radios in hand, first-aid kits on standby, and hearts full of service, the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee stood as the safety guardians of every game during the Intramurals and Municipal Meet 2025.

We ensured that all players and students enjoyed the activities responsibly and safely — ready to respond anytime, anywhere. Here’s to the SDRRMC Officers– always alert, always ready, and always making sure every student’s safety.

September 11, 2025 || Third Quarter NSED🚨

In line with the observance of the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, students and teachers of Western Cagayan School of Arts and Trades actively participated in the activity, demonstrating proper ex*****on of the “duck, cover, and hold” technique as well as safe evacuation procedures.

The drill was facilitated by the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee officers together with their adviser, Sir Eldridge Garcia, who guided the students and teachers in ensuring safety and order throughout the exercise.

This collective effort strengthens awareness, discipline, and preparedness, reminding us that safety is a shared responsibility of the entire school community ✨

The spirit of preparedness, teamwork, and resilience was truly alive during the Resculympics 2025 held at Natalged Arena on July 29, 2025. We are proud to announce that the SDRRMC-WCSAT team claimed the Championship title, a reflection of their hard work and dedication.

We also appreciate the continuous support of our school principal, Ma’am Excelsis G. Pastor, and the department heads.

On July 31, 2025, the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (SDRRMC) officers officially took their oath. With that pledge, they carry the weight of responsibility—to protect, to prepare, and to act when it matters most.

Every second counts when safety is on the line.
Every decision shapes how we face the unexpected.
And in every step, we move forward together.

Storms may come. Earth may shake. Fires may blaze.
But as long as we stand as one, we will face it—
until it’s done.

This is more than leadership.
It’s vigilance.
It’s compassion in action.
It’s the courage to step forward when others step back.

To our new officers: may your service be marked by strength in emergencies, clarity in chaos, and unity in every challenge.
