The Asian pre-engagement session of the Global Chaplains, Animators Formation and Exchange Program brought together chaplains, animators and student leaders across Asia-Pacific for a meaningful exchange on accompaniment, leadership and synodality.

We extend sincere gratitude to Dr. Jessica Joy Candelario, our resource speaker, all the chaplains, animators and student leaders whose insights and commitment continue to strengthen our shared mission of forming young people for a more just, compassionate and hope-filled world.

The Earth is more than our home; it is a shared gift entrusted to our care. Every tree, river, mountain and ocean reminds us that we are part of a greater story of life.

Let us choose gratitude over waste, care over indifference and action over silence for our common home.

Nature is a quiet reminder of beauty we do not create, but are entrusted to care for. From the smallest leaf to the widest ocean, the world speaks of life, balance and wonder.

May we learn again to see the Earth not as something to use but as a gift to protect, so its beauty may continue to inspire generations yet to come.

Happy World Environment Day!

The webinar “Care for Our Common Home” marked the conclusion of the IMCS Asia-Pacific 45 Days 3Ps Campaign 2026: Plantation, Photography and Pravritti, bringing together young people, environmental advocates and community leaders in a shared commitment to ecological responsibility and sustainable development.

We were honored to be joined by distinguished speakers who shared their expertise and reflections on ecological conservation, climate resilience and youth engagement:

🔹 Fr. Pedro Walpole, S.J.: Coordinator, River Above Asia Oceania Ecclesial Network (RAOEN)
🔹 Mr. Subash Anthony Gomes: Manager, Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS) Sector, Caritas Bangladesh
🔹 Mr. Ajit Shrivastav: President, Madhesh Pradesh of Nepal Environment Society
🔹 Mr. Rodel “Lukas” Arzaga: Regional Coordinator, NCR Chapter, Youth Advocates for Climate Action Philippines

We extend our sincere appreciation to all the speakers for their valuable contributions and to every participant whose engagement enriched the dialogue and strengthened our collective commitment to caring for our common home.

As this campaign comes to a close, we celebrate the efforts of young people across the region who have transformed awareness into action through tree planting, environmental advocacy, creative storytelling and sustainable lifestyle practices. While the campaign has concluded, our shared responsibility to protect creation and promote ecological justice continues.

🌱 “Care for Our Common Home” is not merely a theme but an ongoing call to action for present and future generations.
