Good day, Pacanisa Sector and Neighbours!
With the growing concerns surrounding bullying, school violence, school shootings, and other issues affecting children and students today, the Pacanisa Sector Youth Organization (PSYO) strongly condemns all forms of violence, bullying, intimidation, and harmful behavior in our schools and communities.
As the Founder of PSYO, Teacher & Youth Leader Neile Morales would like to remind everyone of something important: "Our children are shaped by the people and environments that surround them."
Children do not simply wake up one day and become violent, aggressive, or isolated. As they grow, they observe, experience, and learn from what happens around them. The way they are treated at home, the way adults communicate, how conflicts are handled, and the kind of environment they grow up in can influence how they understand themselves and others.
This does not mean that every child who experiences difficulties will become violent, nor does it mean that parents are solely responsible for every problem a child faces. Mental health, personal experiences, social relationships, school environment, and many other factors can affect a child's behavior. That is why prevention should not begin only when a problem becomes serious. It should begin with understanding, guidance, discipline, compassion, and early support.
In our beloved Pacanisa community, we want our children to grow up knowing that they belong. We do not want them to feel that they have to face their struggles alone or that violence, bullying, and isolation are normal parts of growing up.
This is one of the reasons PSYO was founded. We saw the importance of creating opportunities for our young people to interact, build friendships, participate in activities, and become part of a community that looks after one another.
As parents, let us listen before we judge.
As neighbours, let us notice when something does not seem right.
As a community, let us create a place where children feel safe, valued, heard, and supported.
Sometimes, preventing a bigger problem starts with something as simple as checking on a child, listening to a student, correcting harmful behavior early, or making sure that no young person feels completely alone.
We cannot control everything that happens in a child's life, but we can help create an environment where kindness, accountability, respect, and responsible behavior are taught and practiced every day.
It truly takes a VILLAGE to raise a CHILD.
Let Pacanisa be that village. Dahil "Basta PACANISA nagkakakaisa!"
