F/ Senator and Managing Director Cynthia Villar, represented by Atty. Rhaegee Tamaña, participated in the International Cooperation Seminar for Sustainable Education in an Era of Climate Crisis organized by the International WeLoveU Foundation and held at the Villar SIPAG Complex in Las Piñas City.

Attended by delegates from International WeLoveU Foundation led by Secretary General Lee Seungan, members from the International WeLoveU Foundation, representatives from DepEd Las Piñas, and the National Youth Commission MIMAROPA, the seminar highlighted the importance of global cooperation in addressing climate challenges through education.

During the event, Atty. Tamaña shared the Villar Foundation’s more than three decades of environmental advocacy and sustainability initiatives, emphasizing the vital role of education, community engagement, and collective action in building a greener and more sustainable future. 🌱🌍

📢 CALL FOR ENTRIES | Villar Foundation Youth Poverty Reduction Challenge 2026

Are you a youth organization, social enterprise, or community group making a difference in your community?

🏆 Ten (10) outstanding youth-led social enterprises will receive ₱150,000 each plus a trophy for innovative projects that help reduce poverty and uplift communities.

✅ Open to groups of at least 5 members aged 16–29 years old
✅ Must have been operating for at least 1 year
✅ Must have a bank account under the organization's name
Projects may focus on agriculture, recycling, green technology, livelihood development, IT, water and energy solutions, and other community-based innovations.

📅 Deadline for submission: June 30, 2026

The International WeLoveU Foundation delegation paid a courtesy call to former Senator and Managing Director of the Villar Foundation, Cynthia Villar. The delegation was led by Mr. Lee Seungan, Secretary General of the International WeLoveU Foundation, and included Mr. Kim Ok Hyun, Director of the Foundation and Vice President of the Korean National Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN); Mr. Na Byunghyun, Coordinator; and Mr. Koo Minho, Branch Manager of the International WeLoveU Foundation.

During the meeting, the delegates and former Senator Villar discussed potential collaborations and future humanitarian and educational initiatives aimed at benefiting communities across the Philippines.

Ang Villar Foundation Youth Poverty Reduction Awards ay pagkilala sa mga youth organizations sa buong bansa na nagsusulong ng mga makabuluhang programa at proyekto para labanan ang kahirapan at makatulong sa pagpapaunlad ng kanilang mga komunidad.

Mula pa noong 2017, isinasagawa ng Villar Foundation ang Youth Poverty Reduction Challenge upang kilalanin at palakasin ang mahalagang papel ng kabataan sa nation-building. Sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga social enterprises at community initiatives, ipinapakita ng kabataang Pilipino ang kanilang kakayahan, malasakit, at dedikasyon sa paglikha ng positibong pagbabago tungo sa mas maunlad at mas inklusibong lipunan.
