𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟯 [𝟯/𝟯]

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁. 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲.

Day 3 was a full-scale effort simultaneously carrying out our tuli and dental missions. Each volunteer stood in their role, from history taking to procedures, working together as ONE system of care.

And when it mattered most, everything aligned.

As our mentor reminded us:
“Every surgery shouldn’t be a traumatic experience, it should be a wonderful, even glorious event.”

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮 [𝟮/𝟮]

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹.

Day 2 brought us into the heart of service through our medical mission. What was once taught became practiced, stepping ahead of their training and rising to the challenge.

As the day ended, the mission didn’t stop. Through a mini skills workshop on suturing, instrument handling, and circumcision techniques, we prepared for what was ahead.

Because in this mission, we don’t just volunteer, we train to become the physicians we aspire to be.

𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

After arriving in Zambales, our volunteers were oriented and briefed, grounding themselves in proper history taking and physical examination. More than just a pause, Day 1 was intentional: giving space to rest, organize, and build confidence, especially for our YL-1 students stepping into real patient care.

From team assignments to station rotations and tuli screenings, this day laid the foundation for everything that followed.

To our 300 runners, partners, and donors of Her Health, Her Pace: Run for PCOS 2026—this milestone belongs to you.

What started as a SCORA advocacy to raise awareness for PCOS became the foundation for SCOPH’s Project Grassroots 2026. While our PCOS education took center stage during the run, your participation provided the essential resources needed to bring medical care to the heart of the community.

We lead with a heart of gratitude and a humble apology. As a student-led team, we encountered several learning curves—from sound system glitches to logistical hurdles on the race route. We know things weren’t perfect, and we are truly moved by the patience you showed us. Your feedback is our most valuable guide as we grow.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 🏥
The most rewarding part of this journey was seeing your energy translate into direct medical action. We are honored to share that because you ran with us, Project Grassroots successfully served:

We thank our AMSA-Jonelta family for their tireless dedication in making both events possible. We are grateful for every inch of help provided by our members, volunteers, and heads.

With deepest gratitude,
