The Office of Community Extension Services and Linkages (CESL) of Saint Francis of Assisi College (SFAC) successfully conducted the outreach activity “Clean Communities: Healthy Lives, United Hearts” today, October 7, 2026, at Cosme Compound Phase 1, Talon III, Las Piñas City, as part of the celebration of the 45th Founding Anniversary of SFAC.

Carrying the anniversary theme, “45 Years of Shared Vision: Uniting Hearts, Serving Communities,” the activity brought together the SFAC community and its partners in a meaningful day of service, health awareness, environmental responsibility, and community engagement.

Through these activities, SFAC promoted the importance of maintaining a clean environment, practicing proper personal hygiene, and being conscious of one's health and well-being.

The success of the activity was made possible through the valuable partnership and support of JM Makabayan Travel & Tours Corporation, SFAC Basic Education Department, Alumni Affairs, School of Hospitality Management, School of Education and Liberal Arts, School of Nursing, and the Office of Student Affairs and Services.

A special thank you goes to our dedicated volunteers, faculty and staff, students, and alumni whose time, energy, compassion, and commitment made this outreach activity meaningful and successful. Your willingness to serve exemplifies the true spirit of “Uniting Hearts, Serving Communities.”

JOINS THE ELEBRATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF NON-VIOLENCE

The Office of Community Extension Services and Linkages (CESL) of Saint Francis of Assisi College (SFAC) joins the global celebration of the International Day of Non-Violence, observed every October 2, in honor of the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, a leading advocate of peace and non-violent action.

This significant occasion reminds us that peace begins with respect, compassion, understanding, and responsible action. Non-violence is not simply the absence of conflict; it is a commitment to resolving differences peacefully, respecting human dignity, promoting justice, and building communities where everyone can live with safety and respect.

In keeping with the Franciscan spirit of peace, compassion, humility, and service, the CESL Office encourages the SFAC community to become active participants in promoting a culture of peace and non-violence—in our homes, schools, workplaces, and communities.

Through its community extension programs and partnerships, SFAC continues to promote meaningful engagement that empowers individuals and communities to work together toward a more peaceful, inclusive, and compassionate society.

Let us choose peace. Let us practice kindness. Let us be instruments of non-violence.

“Peace begins with each one of us.”
