Rotary Club of Pasay Edsa

Rotary Club of Pasay Edsa Rotary Club of Pasay Edsa District 3810 District 3810 is not a new district as others may think.

It is the same district although with a much reduced area coverage; composed of the cities of Manila and Pasay; and the provinces of Cavite and Occidental Mindoro with 81 Rotary clubs as of RY 2007-08. The district number used to be 381, but starting in Rotary Year 1991-1992 a zero was added to the last digit of all Rotary districts in the whole world to give way to computerization. By 1999, the d

istrict composed of the cities of Manila, Makati, Pasay; Parañaque, Muntinlupa, and Las Piñas, the municipalities of Taguig and Pateros, and the provinces of Cavite, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan had 113 clubs with more than 4,500 Rotarians, and was the biggest in the country and in the world.

RCPE PARTNERS WITH SVTI FOR PNHS RFID TURNSTILE PROJECT: A FIRST IN MINDORO

The Rotary Club of Pasay EDSA (RCPE), in partnership with Systems Variable Technicom, Inc. (SVTI) and the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) of Parang National High School (PNHS), has completed the installation of turnstiles with RFID technology for the safety and monitoring of more than 700 high school students in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. It is believed to be the first in Mindoro.

The project includes two entry and exit flapped gates equipped with RFID readers that log students’ arrivals and departures through their RFID cards. This enhances school security, student monitoring, and overall campus management, in line with Rotary’s Supporting Education and Community Development areas of focus.

This collaborative effort brought together multiple stakeholders:
SVTI provided the turnstile equipment,
RCPE supplied the RFID cards,
PNHS PTA contributed local materials and built the entrance house, and PNHS provided the computer and server support.

Through shared responsibility and partnership, RCPE and its allies continue to uphold Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self” and Uniting for Good by empowering schools to become safer, smarter, and more resilient learning environments.
