Congratulations to our outstanding student researchers for their exceptional performance at the 50th Annual IIEE National Convention Research Contest held last November 28, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

After a double-blind selection of finalists by the IIEE Research and Development Committee. two Perpetualite teams were selected as part of the Top 5 national finalists, The two teams were given a chance to present and defend their respective studies to a panel of distinguished EE professionals, and they have emerged victorious:

“Designing Resilient Energy Futures for Island Communities: A Techno-Economic Study for Photovoltaic and Wind Energy in Salipsip, Polillo Island”

“Grounded in Reality: Design and Development of an Affordable Ground-Based Solar Resource Assessment Device”

Their achievements highlight innovative research methodology, effective technical communication, and dedication to advancing sustainable and impactful solutions for the relevant electrical engineering problems of our time.

Truly, we are raising the bar for future engineers by equipping them with critical and analytical skills in problem solving.

In the overall competition, Mapúa University secured 2nd place, followed by the Technological Institute of the Philippines in 3rd place.
