🇵🇭 A HISTORIC MILESTONE FOR YOUTH LEADERSHIP IN LAS PIÑAS! 🇵🇭

Today, we celebrate not just an achievement, but a historic first.

Congratulations to Kuya Seth Pineda , our leader of Matatag na Kabataan as the first-ever President and Presiding Officer of the Las Piñas Youth Parliament! 🎉👏 We would also like to acknowledge the effort and contribution of Kuya Harold Gonzales as the head committee of Youth Employment.

This remarkable milestone
represents more than a title. It symbolizes the growing recognition of the voice, potential, and capacity of the youth to meaningfully participate in governance and nation-building.

Through the initiative of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation headed by SK Fed. Pres. Coun. Rey Angelo Reyes, and the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), headed by Sir Allan Jimenez, the Las Piñas Youth Parliament was created as a platform where young leaders can step beyond simply being beneficiaries of programs and become active participants in the legislative process.

Here, our youth leaders were given the opportunity to learn how to craft ordinances and resolutions, deliberate on proposed measures, participate in committee and plenary hearings, raise substantive questions, defend their positions, listen to opposing perspectives, and scrutinize proposed policies—all with the goal of creating meaningful solutions for the youth and the community.

This experience teaches an important lesson: leadership is not merely about having a position; it is about having the courage to listen, the wisdom to deliberate, the responsibility to represent, and the heart to serve.

As the first Presiding Officer of the Las Piñas Youth Parliament, Kuya Seth takes on the historic responsibility of setting the tone and laying the foundation for future generations of young legislators and youth leaders.

May his leadership remind us that the youth are not merely the leaders of tomorrow they are partners in building our communities today.

May this Youth Parliament becomes a training ground for young people who will become leaders of the next generation.

Matatag na Kabataan is so proud of you two. Mabuhay ang Kabataang Las Piñero!🎉🎉👏👏
