Heavenly Father,
We lift our eyes beyond the brokenness of this world to Your heavenly throne, knowing that You reign supreme over all creation. In the midst of the tragic incidents in our Philippine campuses, we acknowledge that You remain seated on Your throne, unchanging, perfectly holy, and full of majesty.
Lord, even when darkness appears overwhelming, we anchor our faith in Your absolute power. You are the Sustainer of life, the Beginning and the End. We pray that in this hour of trial, Your name is exalted and Your sovereign will is done. Remind us that no scheme of the enemy can derail Your eternal purposes, and that You work all things together for the ultimate good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
Father, we pray for the hearts of the Filipino people—students, teachers, leaders, and even those who harbor violence. Send Your Holy Spirit to bring true conviction, repentance, and spiritual renewal across our nation. Where sin and violence abound, let Your saving grace abound all the more. We pray that this tragedy drives hearts back to You, seeking the truth, righteousness, and eternal hope found only in the Gospel.
We fix our minds not on earthly fear, but on Your eternal promises. You are our Refuge, our High Tower, and our Rock. Fill every campus, every home, and every grieving heart with the quiet assurance of Your presence. Grant us the spiritual discernment to walk by faith and not by sight, trusting that You hold every soul, every life, and the destiny of our nation securely in Your hands.
We surrender our grief, our questions, and our desires for protection into Your hands, knowing that Your wisdom is infinite and Your love is steadfast. May Your light shine brightly through Your Church, and may Your Kingdom expand even through the shadows of this life.
To You alone be all the glory, honor, power, and praise, now and forevermore.
In the holy, majestic name of Jesus,
Amen.
