The catastrophic flooding in Las Piñas is not a natural disaster; 𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙖 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥. The loss of life and the widespread destruction are a direct result of the city's inadequate flood control systems and lack of preparedness. Year after year, we've raised concerns, yet little to no action has been taken. The suffering of our community is a direct consequence of this negligence.

We are demanding accountability from the officials of City of Las Piñas. The time for excuses is over. We need immediate action to address the immediate needs of those affected and a comprehensive plan to prevent future tragedies. We will not stand by and allow our community to continue suffering.

What happened to Las Piñas City's flood control budget? Reports suggest the funds weren't properly distributed or effectively used, leading to questions about mismanagement or potential corruption.

Despite significant allocations, including a P2.5-billion project, flooding persists, raising concerns about accountability and whether funds were wasted or misused.

A thorough investigation is needed to determine the exact fate of the budget; when this happens, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨.

The day after this disaster requires resilience, a trait Filipinos shouldn't normalize.

Also, don't be swayed by small amounts of ayuda; accept it, but demand accountability.

This is their responsibility to us.

We, the youth of Talon 3, will conduct a survey to highlight to Las Piñas officials their inadequate response to this disaster.

Just an update, there is still no rescue.

There is an evacuation center in Carmencita Covered Court as an update by the public officials of Barangay Talon 3.

If your homes are in immediate danger of flooding, even if not yet submerged, we urge you to evacuate as a precaution; leave your homes now if you are still able.

However, many people are trapped in their homes, mostly on the second and third floors, and are publicly demanding rescue. It's been almost an hour, and there is still no rescue team.

Please take action immediately.

URGENT! Paramount Village, Talon 3, Las Piñas is underwater. It's 9:31 PM, and the floodwaters have been rising rapidly for hours. Residents are trapped and have been waiting nearly an hour for rescue teams. Many homes are already submerged.
