I just really need to rant about what happened with the guard at Gate 2. I was sick the whole day and my last class ended at 5 PM. My whole body was aching and I didn’t have any appetite, so I planned to take a quick nap before taking my meds. Unfortunately, I ended up sleeping longer than expected and woke up around 10 PM, already way past the time I was supposed to take my medication. I decided to order from Foodpanda, hoping the guard would let the rider in, especially since it was an emergency and it was lightly raining. I didn’t have an umbrella, and given my condition, I couldn’t risk getting worse.

But the guard didn’t let the rider in. He assumed I was just making an excuse and said the rain wasn’t strong enough to justify opening the gate. Even after I tried to explain and convince him, he still refused, saying he couldn’t allow it because of the CCTV and that Sir H* might see it. He also mentioned that only the residents of the building (I’m guessing the T* family) are allowed to open the gate after curfew. I just feel really disappointed about the whole situation. I get that rules are rules, but I hope there’s more compassion and flexibility when it comes to emergencies or health-related situations. Please do better than this.
