𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲

On August 5, 2026, the 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 recognized the young participants as Junior Space Engineer of the Model Rocket Workshop for their performance and active participation throughout the activity. The event also featured a Model Rocket Motor Static Test, giving elementary students the opportunity to witness a live demonstration of rocket propulsion and experience aerospace engineering beyond the classroom.

The event was graced by Ms. Kristine Jane Atienza, the first Filipino Analog Astronaut; Space Architect Silver Herras; Software Developer Harlee Quizzagan; Quantum Technology Specialist Dylan Josh Lopez and Mr. Antonio Stark, a space policy and strategy expert.

The day highlighted not only the achievements of the workshop participants but also the importance of introducing the next generation to space exploration. 🚀

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐈𝐀𝐔 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐤𝐲𝐨 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐎 𝐃𝐀𝐈 🇯🇵

A glimpse into aerospace engineering took flight at Indiana Aerospace University on August 4, 2026, as students from Tokyo Agricultural University TONO DAI took part in a 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩. Organized by the SPATIUM Model Rocket Development Division alongside the Society of Young Aerospace Engineers, the activity brought rocket assembly and flight principles together in one engaging experience.

The participants had the opportunity to build and assemble their own model rockets, learn about the fundamentals of rocket science, and witness a successful parachute drop test. Guided by AE students, the workshop brought aerospace concepts to life and encouraged the participants to develop a passion for exploring the skies.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐒𝐞𝐢𝐛𝐮 𝐆𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐫𝐢 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐀𝐔 🇯🇵

The Aerospace Engineering Department, together with the Society of Young Aerospace Engineers, the Astronomical Society, and the Research and Development Team, warmly welcomed students from Seibu Gakuen Bunri High School, Japan, as they explored the exciting world of aerospace through a hands-on 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 held on July 30, 2026, at Indiana Aerospace University.

From carefully assembling each component to understanding the science behind it, participants experienced aerospace engineering beyond the classroom. Through every model rocket they built, they took their first steps toward the skies.

A Milestone for Philippine Space Education 🚀

A team of undergraduate Aerospace Engineering students from Indiana Aerospace University, through the SPATIUM Laboratory, is developing TERESA V—a next-generation sounding rocket expected to become the largest student-built solid rocket in the Philippines.

What makes this project unique is that the entire rocket system is being developed by students—including the airframe, avionics, recovery system, solid rocket motor, and even the rocket propellant—under the guidance of faculty mentors. From design and simulation to manufacturing, testing, and launch operations, students are involved in every stage of the engineering lifecycle.
