RCY First Aid Training: Becoming a Life Saver!

The NAAP Mactan RCY Council—Mactan Campus was filled with voluntarism and compassion as First Aid Training for new recruits as part of their training in basic first aid and emergency response has finally concluded on Jan. 24, 2026.

RCY First Aid Training aims to transform the commitment to the Red Cross Youth into the practical, life-saving skills required to serve as active and capable first responders within our campus. The training includes lectures about different disasters and basic first aid training, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bandaging, and splinting—that substantially aid in certain emergencies.

The first aid training was guided by the chapter service representative from the Philippine Red Cross Lapu-Lapu/Cordova Chapter. On behalf of the entire NAAP Mactan RCY Council, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to each volunteer for the time and effort in teaching the new recruits in their pursuit of knowledge and honing their skills in first aid.

"🚨From Students to Volunteers: A Journey of Service ⛑️"

On September 6–7, 2025 (Saturday and Sunday), PhilSCA Mactan proudly witnessed the completion of the Red Cross Youth Volunteer Formation Course by our dedicated students. ⛑️

The 2-day training was more than just a program — it was a journey of growth and service. Through engaging activities, the students were able to sharpen their discipline, strengthen their teamwork, and enhance leadership skills, while embracing the values of compassion, responsibility, and preparedness that the Red Cross continues to instill in every youth volunteer. ⛑️

This milestone marks the beginning of a bigger mission: to empower the next generation of leaders who are ready to serve humanity with courage, empathy, and action. 🙌⛑️

𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲.

Eljimar Kim B. Grande, a 19-year-old graduating associate student from AAMT 2 - Charlie, is currently confined at Gun-ob Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital because of a serious health issue. He is being treated for an infected wound and cellulitis on his foot, which has worsened and now needs continuous medical attention, including hospitalization and proper medication. Unfortunately, his family is facing financial difficulties and is struggling to cover the cost of his treatment and daily needs during this very challenging time.

We are knocking on your kind hearts to help support Eljimar and his family during this difficult time. Your generosity will go a long way in easing their burden and helping him recover. Any amount will be deeply appreciated.

Batch RP-0002 completes Youth Volunteer Formation Course! 🌟

The Philippine State College of Aeronautics - Mactan Campus proudly celebrates Batch RP-0002, our newest cohort of official Red Cross Youth Volunteers, as they successfully complete the Youth Volunteer Formation Course (YVFC) Over two transformative days, these passionate individuals embarked on a journey of learning, growth, and commitment to humanitarian service.

The council extends its deepest appreciation to:

• The incredible Philippine Red Cross Lapu-Lapu/Cordova Chapter team for their expertise and dedication.

• PhilSCA-Mactan Campus Administration for fostering a culture of service and volunteerism

Igniting the Spirit of Service!

The journey begins! 🚀 Today, our aspiring Batch RP-0002 volunteers took their first step into the world of humanitarian action at the Youth Volunteer Formation Course (YVFC), guided by the incredible team from the Philippine Red Cross Lapu-Lapu/Cordova Chapter.

From learning the 7 Fundamental Principles to forging bonds with fellow changemakers, Day 1 was all about passion, purpose, and preparation to serve.

As announced by the PhilSCA Office of the President, classes in all PhilSCA Campuses shall be conducted in aynchronous modality between April 14 to 16, 2024—in observance of the Holy Week and to provide flexibility for students and personnel.

Faculty members are advised to make appropriate instructional materials available to their students and provide clear guidance on learning activities for said dates.

The Philippine State College of Aeronautics Red Cross Youth Council - Mactan Campus is proud to invite all aspiring volunteers to the Youth Volunteer Formation Course (YVFC) on April 12-13, 2025 (Saturday & Sunday) at the PhilSCA Mactan Campus.

This essential two-day training serves as the official gateway for students to join the Red Cross Youth, featuring comprehensive seminars and interactive activities designed to cultivate the values of volunteerism and humanitarian service. The program will cover the 7 Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross, disaster preparedness, leadership development, and community service skills.

The event welcomes all students who have paid their MAAB fee, with walk-in participants required to present a signed and notarized waiver along with proof of MAAB payment.

This is your chance to ignite the spirit of volunteerism and become part of a movement that saves lives. ❤️⛑️
