MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO ALL U.S. RETIREES (MILITARY, DOD, ETC.) AND UNMARRIED WIDOWS OF RETIREES. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP IS AVAILABLE TO MERCHANT SEAMEN AND NON-RETIREE U.S. (ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP IS PRIMARILY FOR USE OF THE RAO TELEPHONE AND FAX SERVICE.) IN ACCORDANCE WITH U.S. GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS, ONLY U.S. MILITARY RETIREES AND THEIR DEPENDENTS, AND UNMARRIED WIDOWS OF U.S. MILITARY RETIREES AND

The RAO Cebu Office is relocating to Lapu Lapu City on 15 December 2024. Mail services will have to adjust and I think is more efficient and predictable. Overall the new modified mail service will reduce our members travel time (avoid city traffic) and shorten delivery times.

Reason for Relocation: Relocation will keep the rent lower as prices in the Cebu City has sky rocketed over the years and instead of raising the annual dues to cover the increased rent , we relocated to Mactan Lapu Lapu City in Barangay Pajac in the Spy Me 2 Fitness Gym Building on the second floor.

Relocating in Lapu Lapu will be a disadvantage for members who regularly visit or walk in to get their mail. The way to best get your mail is by motorcycle delivery or courier i.e. Maxim or Lalamove. As mail comes to your assigned box, the courier can be requested to collect your mail at your expense. (The standard fee for these is approx 150 pesos within Cebu City and Mandaue Metro area )

Mail notification to members is best by FB Messenger, Fiber or What’s app. A picture of the parcel or contents will be sent to you UPON REQUEST to inform the content of your box. Also UPON REQUEST a courier can be arranged send your mail items to you directly (same day within an hour)

The key to make this mail service work is for you provide to RON ASAP a contact via FB Messenger, Viber or WhatsApp. Your cell number and email is still required. So please keep these updated ASAP.

What will happen to RON? Ron is still affiliated to our RAO Cebu office as a RAO consultant by appointment. She will help our members via phone or video call. Basically, she is a remote worker working from home.

Are we sending out mail still? Yes, for now it is temporary halted because we ran out of stamps to sell. However, we will resume stamp services in January 2025 as the ordered stamps will arrive.

Message for U.S. Citizens: Cebu U.S. Consular Agency Closed for Services June 12 - 23, 2023

The U.S. Consular Agency in Cebu will be closed for services from Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 23, 2023. Regular operations will resume on Monday, June 26, 2023.

The U.S. Embassy’s American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit in Manila will remain open for regular and emergency services during this time. Consular assistance and information may be obtained from our website. In the case of an emergency involving a U.S. citizen, please call + 632 5301 2000. For all other inquiries regarding citizen services, please email [email protected].
