π Celebrating the 48th National Disability Rights Week 2026 in Brgy. Babag! π
βIt was truly a resounding success! The Babag Association of Persons With Disabilities, alongside the Barangay Council, successfully hosted the Barangay Babag National Disability Rights Week 2026 Celebration last July 25, 2026, at the Brgy. Babag Gym.

βOpening Remarks: Delivered by the Babag PWD President Bon Rio Lazaga, emphasizing our stand for the dignity, rights, and empowerment of every citizenβregardless of status or physical condition.
βSupport Message: Barangay Captain Eulogio Cesar Manayon highlighted the vital importance of the celebration in championing PWD rights right here in Barangay Babag.
βπ‘ Insightful Learning Sessions
βHealth & Wellness: Led by Ms. Mae Therese Mandras and Ms. Karren Lawas from the Barangay Health Center, discussing "Purokalusugan" and the importance of self-care.
βDisaster Preparedness: Facilitated by Mr. King Philip Caballes and Mr. Jayrex Cabrestante from the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) Lapu-Lapu. Attendees learned crucial safety tips and received free emergency whistles distributed by the Babag PWD!
βAfternoon Energizer: Led by the SK Officials to gear up everyone for the second half of the program.
βBody Safety & Sexuality Education: Presented by SNED Teacher Ms. Janice Casicas Pamaybay from BNHS, highlighting how parents can guide Children With Disabilities in protecting and caring for themselves.
βπ Fun, Games, and Community
βAfter a delightful lunch break, the afternoon was filled with laughter, joy, and excitement! PWDs and their guardians enjoyed engaging games and an exciting raffle draw where every single attendee took home a prize!
