𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼

Napuno sa gugma og pagmaya ang unang semana sa Flores de Mayo dinhi sa Soong Center, inubanan sa kalipay og himaya.

As the African Proverb says, "It takes a village to raise a child." This week, the community of Kolahan came together to mold and guide the faith of every child by means of prayer, love and devotion to Mother Mary.

Under the wing of Mrs. Gina Cabuenas; Mrs. Elizabeth Obradas Igot; and Mrs. Magdalena Daño, the first week of Flores de Mayo fulfilled its mission to shape the youth's future by the strength of their creed.

Every May, faith blossoms quietly as children gather for Flores de Mayo, walking innocently toward the chapel with petals in hand and prayer in their hearts.

On 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟬𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, Flores de Mayo is back. Sessions will be held every Monday to Friday, from 9:00–11:00 AM at Soong Center Chapel. We warmly invite and encourage parents to allow their children to be part of this meaningful journey of faith.

𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞: children are advised to bring bottled water, notebook, pen or pencil, and most importantly own rosary as these are necessary for comfort and learning.

Through fallen roofs, flooded streets, and shaken communities, the spirit people carried remained unbroken. The resilience of the Filipinos, not romanticized but recognized for its real courage, is something certainly worth of praise. No storm can ever take that away.

Thank you to everyone who extended their help and support. Because of your generosity, we were able to reach more families and remind them that they are never alone.

𝗕𝗨𝗚𝗦𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗟𝗔𝗨𝗠 𝗢𝗚 𝗛𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗦𝗬𝗔

As part of the Soong Center Chapel and Soong Center Youth Organization's mission, "Panaghiusa, Dasig ug Pagtinabangay," we delivered relief efforts through our donation drive initiative to the areas of Cabadiangan (Liloan) and Cotcot (Liloan), bringing not just resources, but hope to the families whose lives were shaken by the storm.

Bugsay para sa Paglaum: In the face of challenges, we saw resilience. In moments of fear, we saw courage. In every hand that received helps, we felt the unbreakable spirit of Sugbo.

Bugsay para sa Hustisya: Strive for a future where services are ample and reaches every family in need, demanding accountability, and seeking truth. Because when rising is empty rhetoric, sukol ta, kay ang corruption mao ang tinood nga kalamidad.

𝒑𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆. 𝒑𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆.

Kapoy? Yes. But replaced with renewed purpose. We saw the smiles, heard the words of gratitude, and read the placards full of appreciation.

𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗯𝗼 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗨𝘀!

Daghan sa atong mga Sugbuanon ang naapektuhan sa pagbaha tungod sa Typhoon Tino. Some lost their homes, belongings, and access to basic needs. Isip isigkatao, maghiusa ta para sa ilang pagbangon.

With that, The Soong Center Youth Organization is launching a Donation Drive to support affected families through essential goods and emergency needs. We are kindly appealing for your generosity through:

• Food items (canned goods, noodles, biscuits)
• Bottled Water
• Clean Clothes
• Blankets & Sleeping Bags
• Hygiene Kits (soap, toothpaste, sanitary items)
• Medicine & First-Aid Supplies

We also welcome empty 10L containers, which will be filled with water for washing and hygiene use to help residents maintain cleanliness and comfort. One-gallon containers are greatly appreciated.
