One Healthy Liver Please!

Liver cancer is the sixth most frequently diagnosed cancer as of 2018, worldwide. In the Philippines, Liver cancer ranks 4th leading cancer type and ranks 2nd in cancers that lead to mortality among Filipinos as of 2020.

In celebration of Liver Cancer and Viral Hepatitis Awareness and Prevention Month, let us take time and know what is the importance of our liver, the general causes of liver cancer and hepatitis and how we could possibly keep it as healthy as we can.

Always remember, masaya ang buhay kapag may malusog na atay! ♥️

Issued at 2:41 PM, Tuesday, November 14, 2023

Moderate to heavy (5.5-7.5 liters/meter² per hour) rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over
(Barili, San Fernando); and nearby areas
within 30 minutes to an hour.
The above conditions are being experienced in (Aloguinsan, western portion of Naga City, Balamban); (Villaba, Calubian); which may persist within 1 to 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. Keep monitoring for updates.

⚠️ General Outlook for the Forecast Period

➡️ On the track forecast, the Tropical Depression may enter the PAR Region on late WEDNESDAY November 15, 2023 or THURSDAY November 16, 2023 and the domestic name will be KABAYAN will be assigned once inside the PAR Region.

➡️ This Tropical Cyclone may intensify over TCA Region and will reach Typhoon Category with a Peak Intensity of 120km per hour on SATURDAY. The possibility of further intensification prior to its close approach to Eastern Visayas is not ruled out.

➡️ Current track and intensity forecast shows that there is a high likelihood that a Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals will be hoisted over Eastern portions of Visayas and Mindanao. The passage of this Tropical Cyclone over Eastern Visayas may bring HEAVY STRONG RAINFALL over mang provinces in Visayas, Mindanao, and Bicol Region beginning on FRIDAY November 17, 2023.

➡️ Furthermore, the Tropical Cyclone may also bring ROUGH TO VERY ROUGH SEA CONDITIONS over Eastern Seaboards of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao beginning THURSDAY November 16. Such condition may be RISKY for those using small seacrafts. Mariners and Coastal Properties are seriously advised to continue monitoring for updates.
