The Archdiocese of Cebu Commission on Youth invites all aspiring pilgrims to the World Youth Day Seoul 2027 Orientation on 15 August 2026, Saturday, 1:00 PM at the Filipiniana Hall, Archbishop’s Residence.

This orientation will guide you through the official process, requirements, timeline, and other essential details for joining the Archdiocese of Cebu Delegation to World Youth Day Seoul 2027. We highly encourage all interested youth to attend, as this marks the first step in your pilgrimage toward the largest international gathering of Catholic youth.

Let us celebrate this BEC Culmination event with the theme “Journeying together as a Listening Church” and joyfully proclaim God’s love as one community.

World Youth Day Seoul 2027 is just one year away!

Featuring the seat of the Archdiocese of Seoul, Myeongdong Cathedral (서울 명동성당) is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Seoul and is also considered the birthplace of the Roman Catholic Church in Korea. The cathedral houses the remains of several individuals: Bishop Laurent Joseph Marie Imbert (1796–1839), and priests Peter Simon (1803–1839), Jacques-Honoré Chastan (1803–1839), and Jean Antoine Charles Pourthié (1830–1866), as well as four Korean martyrs.

Myeongdong Cathedral is located in downtown Seoul and is frequently visited by tourists. Nearby are other popular tourist attractions, such as Namsangol Hanok Village, which preserves traditional Korean houses; N Seoul Tower, which overlooks the city of Seoul; and Namdaemun Market, a traditional market offering a wide variety of food and goods.
