Inner Wheel Club of Cebu Lapu-Lapu, District 386 is honored to participate the LAUNCHING OF IWCPI DISTRICT 386 PROJECTS together with our National Board of Trustees.

August 17, 2026 | Cebu

A meaningful day of service, friendship, fellowship, and shared purpose unfolded as the National Board of Trustees (NBOTs) joined the officers and members of Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. – District 386 for the launching of our District Projects.

The day began at Shangri-La Mactan with the launching of “Showcase with a Purpose,” where proudly curated local products and livelihood items from our communities were showcased and sold as part of the DISTRICT 386 LIVELIHOOD PROJECT, empowering local makers and highlighting sustainable income opportunities for families.

This was followed by the launching of our “Roots to Reefs” Environmental Program — an initiative that embodies our commitment to environmental stewardship, from protecting our mangroves to preserving our precious marine ecosystems.

One of the most memorable highlights of the day took place at Cebu Ocean Park, where the “Roots to Reefs” Environmental Program was given a truly symbolic underwater launch.

Against the beautiful backdrop of marine life, divers proudly displayed the District 386 Roots to Reefs banner beneath the water—powerfully bringing to life the program’s message:

“From Mangroves to Marine Ecosystems, Building a Sustainable Tomorrow.”

It was a fitting and unforgettable way to launch an environmental initiative that reminds us that what we protect on land ultimately connects to the life beneath our seas.

The special day was made even more meaningful with the presence of our dear NBOTs, who joined District 386 in experiencing Cebu—from our activities at Shangri-La Mactan to Cebu Ocean Park and SM Seaside Cebu—sharing meals, conversations, laughter, friendship, and memorable moments along the way.

More than the launching of projects, the day strengthened the bond between our National Board of Trustees and District 386 leaders and celebrated the friendship and fellowship at the heart of Inner Wheel.

Our heartfelt gratitude to District Chairperson Ma. Sunshine B. Lim Shine Lim for graciously hosting the day's activities and for making our NBOTs’ Cebu experience truly memorable.

May the projects we launched continue to GROW and FLOURISH, creating ripples of positive change—from our communities, from roots to reefs, and for generations to come.

A day of pride and purpose for the Inner Wheel Club of Cebu, Philippines - District 386!

On August 16, 2026 at Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark, the Inner Wheel Club of Cebu, Philippines - District 386 successfully inducted the New Officers for 2026-2027 and celebrated the Chartering of a New Club during the 2nd term of our District Chairperson, Madame Sunshine B. Lim.

✨District Leadership Training Seminar 2026✨
🌸Grow and Flourish🌸

The Inner Wheel Club of Cebu, Philippines - District 386 successfully conducted its District Leadership Training Seminar on August 15, 2026 at Chill Café and Spa, Soong, Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.

The seminar was led by Madame Sunshine B. Lim on her second term as District Chairperson. In her inspiring message, she emphasized empowered leadership, stronger fellowship, and dedicated service as the guiding principles for the year. Club officers and members gained valuable insights on effective club management, meaningful projects, and teamwork to ensure a productive and impactful term.

The event concluded with a warm welcome dinner and fellowship honoring National President Jeisela Balderas Gaerlan and the National Board of Trustees. The evening was filled with love, laughter and unity.

✨Turnover Ceremony ✨

The Inner Wheel Club of Cebu Lapu-Lapu successfully held its Turnover Ceremony on July 18, 2026 at Chill Café and Spa. The event was graced by District Chairman Sunshine B. Lim, who inspired the club with her message of service, friendship, and commitment. Outgoing President Honey Igoy officially passed the leadership to incoming President Cherry Allego, as both outgoing and incoming officers embraced the spirit of continuity and leadership in serving the community.

✨Orientation of New Members ✨

Following the turnover, an Orientation for new members was also conducted. The new members were warmly welcomed and introduced to the goals, projects, and values of Inner Wheel. With fellowship and shared purpose, the club reaffirmed its dedication to service as it welcomed fresh faces ready to make a difference.

This day the Inner Wheel Club of Cebu Lapu-Lapu proudly participated in the Infection Prevention and Control Week 2026 hosted by Lapu-Lapu City Hospital under the administration of Dr. Lynart Kevin Omnes, MD, with the presence of Inner Wheel Clubs of The Philippines, District 386 Chairperson Ma. Sunshine B. LIM alongside with Dr. Francis Quirante and one of our City Councilor Dr. Emilio Galaroza with the timely theme "Breaking the Stigma About HIV and TB," featuring Dr. Hubert Paul S. Mantilla of Love Yourself Whitehouse as the keynote speaker.

As we officially embark on our first service project for this Inner Wheel year, we believe that empowering communities begins with education, awareness, and compassion. By learning more about HIV and Tuberculosis, we become better advocates for understanding, inclusion, and early prevention.

We chose to support an advocacy that reminds us that knowledge replaces fear, compassion overcomes prejudice, and understanding changes lives.
HIV and Tuberculosis are not just medical conditions—they are also social issues that often leave individuals facing discrimination and isolation. Through education and awareness, we can help build a community where every person is treated with dignity, respect, and kindness.

This initiative reflects the very heart of Inner Wheel's ideals of personal service and friendship, while supporting projects that promote health, community well-being, education, and partnerships. It also aligns with this year's International Inner Wheel theme, "Grow and Flourish," by helping build healthier, more informed, and more compassionate communities.

Together, let us continue to serve, to educate with purpose, and inspire positive change.
