The Rotary Club of Mactan is grateful to have participated in the Rotary District 3860 Area 1 Blood Letting Activity 2026, where compassion, generosity, and service came together for one meaningful purpose—to save lives.

Blood donation is one of the simplest yet most powerful acts of kindness. It costs nothing but a little time, yet it offers someone else the priceless gift of hope, healing, and another chance at life.

To every blood donor, volunteer, healthcare worker, and partner—thank you for proving that when a community unites for a noble cause, extraordinary things happen.

Creating Lasting Impact. Protecting What Matters Most.

Today, the sea reminded us of a simple truth: our oceans cannot speak—but they depend on us to protect them.

More than 250 passionate volunteers, including 130 dedicated divers, came together at Club Kontiki Dive Resort, Barangay Maribago with one mission—to restore, protect, and preserve the beauty beneath our waters and along our shores.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collective efforts of Club Kontiki Dive Resort, the Rotary Club of Mactan, government agencies, community organizations, local divers, and volunteers who chose action over indifference.

Every piece of debris removed is more than just trash collected—it is a safer home for marine life, cleaner waters for future generations, and a powerful reminder that small actions, when multiplied by many, create extraordinary change.

To every diver who explored beneath the waves, every volunteer who walked the shoreline, every partner who believed in this cause, and every individual who gave their time and heart—thank you. You are the true champions of our environment.

🌱 Conservation is not a one-day event—it is a lifelong commitment.
Together, we proved that when communities unite with purpose, we don’t just clean beaches—we build hope, inspire change, and protect our planet.

Club Kontiki Diving resort, the Rotary Club of Mactan, Scuba divers, the Lapu-Lapu City Police, Philippine Red Cross and other stakeholders joined forces for an underwater and coastal clean-up drive. The environmental initiative was spearheaded by Rotarian Mike Tengelin, highlighting the community’s shared commitment to protecting and preserving the city’s marine and coastal ecosystems.
