The College of Industrial Technology emerged victorious in the 2024 Ilokano Food Innovation Cookfest Competition, held at MMSU Batac Covered Court on March 22, 2024. The awarding ceremony took place on April 4, 2024, during the Aruat ken Rubuat 3.0 event at MMSU Teatro Ilocandia.
CIT secured accolades, including Best in Appetizer for their dish Arakop ni Susai, Best in Main Dish for their creation Medallion ni Mariano, and a Bronze Award for Table Setting. With these achievements, CIT clinched both the Platinum Award and the Overall Champion title for this year's Ilokano Food Innovation Cookfest Competition, marking its third consecutive win in the competition.
Student participants in the cooking category were Shaira Jane B. Fuerte (FPSM 3B) and Jason F. Mananquil (FPSM 3A), while Jhon Loyd D. Valdez (FPSM 3B) and Lynette Joy Guinares (FPSM 3A) represented the college in the table setting and setup. Miss Jessica Camille B. Ramirez and Miss Leslie Anne Tuliao served as coaches, supported by other faculty members from the Food Processing and Service Management department.
