Today, the Ifugao State University - College of Health Sciences celebrates a monumental step for its future care providers at the 11th Madonna and Child, and 13th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony!

Under the theme: "Embracing Humility, Empowering Service: A Pledge of Healthcare Providers," we proudly witness our 157 BSN-2 students officially become Student Nurses and 22 BSM-2 students become Student Midwives.

This isn't just a ceremony, it's a transition. The Capping and Pinning signify your readiness to wear the uniform and carry the badge of honor, commitment, and compassion. The Candle Lighting is a powerful symbol of the light you will carry and share, guiding you through dark times and illuminating the path to healing for your patients. The Madonna and Child ceremony emphasizes the sacred trust and nurturing care you will provide, especially in maternal and child health. These moments solidify your Pledge of Serviceβ€”a commitment that will shape every life you touch and define your professional journey from this day forward.

​Talk about dominance! Our Purple Flamingo Combatives Team absolutely crushed it at the IFSU Intramurals 2025!

​A massive, powerful salute to our Combatives Women who brought the thunder and clinched 1st Place overall! These warriors are tough, focused, and relentless, proving their excellence by sweeping up an incredible haul of 6 Gold, 4 Silver, and 1 Bronze medals! They didn't just competeβ€”they conquered!

​And let's hear it for our Combatives men who battled hard and finished strong at 4th Place overall, bagging 1 Gold, 3 Silver, and 3 Bronze! Every single medal was hard-earned and shows the dedication of our athletes.

THE PURPLE FLAMINGOES CLINCHED THEIR SILVER MEDAL IN THE 3x3 BASKETBALL EVENT–MEN'S CATEGORY!πŸ¦©πŸ’œ

The College of Health Sciences (CHS) secured their silver medal in the 3x3 basketball eventβ€”men's category against the College of Education (COE), with a lead score of 4 points, in favor of COE. This shows that their passion and talents are not only for the clinical areas, but also for sport events like this.

Congratulations to the team and coaches. The CHS Family is so proud of you! ✨
