BPED Students Promoting Holistic Health Through Digital Infographics

The Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) students present a series of educational infographics focusing on essential health topics such as nutrition, stress management, and mental health, and others. 𝐁𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐔𝐩 𝐏𝐈𝐒 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

Lamut, Ifugao — Faculty and students from the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) program conducted an extension activity titled “Advocating Community Sports and Dance Engagement Towards Fitness and Wellness” at Panopdopan Integrated School (P*S) on December 5, 2025.

The program aimed to help students acquire, develop, and master skills and techniques in various sports and dance forms.

The morning session began with students grouped according to their preferred sports: badminton, volleyball, table tennis, and basketball.

Facilitators led focused discussions on the rules, equipment, and essential skills for each sport:

Badminton: Mrs. Karen Malingan Cumti and Mr. Danilo Macaraeg Jr.

Basketball: Dr. Martina B. Labhat

Table Tennis: Mrs. Gene Bilibili

Volleyball: Mr. Reymond Cabucana

BPED students assisted their faculty mentors throughout the activity, gaining valuable hands-on experience crucial for their future roles as physical education teachers. The initial lectures ensured that participants understood the fundamentals before engaging in practical activities.

The afternoon session highlighted practical exercises designed to assess the students’ learning from the morning discussions. Through these activities, participants were able to apply newly acquired skills and techniques.

The event concluded with student feedbacks followed by a closing message by Mary T. Toquedo, P*S Teacher. She expressed gratitude for the collaboration and encouraged continued partnership between P*S and the COE - BPED department.
