Battle of the Bands | IPSHS Women’s Month and Arts Month Celebration 2026 🎸πŸ₯

What better way to close a celebration for women than with the music they gave us? 🎢

Women's Month and Arts Month celebration drew to a memorable close with the first ever Battle of the Bands among SHS strands. A competition that brought together 3 outstanding bands, each performing OPM songs by female artists as tribute to women we celebrated this month.
Taking the stage were:
* STEM 11 (BANDana)
* ABM 11&12 (Innovators)
* STEM 12 (KontraBANDA)

Each band brought their own sound, their own energy, and their own interpretation of the theme. BANDana brought the feel. INNOVATORS brought the fire. KontraBANDA brought the crowd. Every single perfomance was a reminder of just how much raw talent lives within the walls of IPSHS.

These bands ended the celebration exactly the way it deserved to be ended. Loud, passionate, and for the women.

ChalkVenture | IPSHS Women’s Month and Arts Month Celebration 2026πŸŽ¨πŸ–οΈ

Not every story is written on paper. Some are drawn on the ground, in color, for everyone to walk through and experience firsthand.

Junior High School and Senior High School students competed by designing playable chalk obstacle courses on their chosen pavement spaces in front of the JHS building, with the visual narrative required to reflect the themes of truth (Katotohanan) of women’s leadership. The activity challenged the students not only as artists, but as storytellers and advocates.

Following the judging, the completed works were opened for public viewing, allowing the entire school community to walk through and experience the stories told on the ground beneath them. Every design was different, but every design carried the same message.

This is what it looks like when students are given space to speak, they speak using a chalk. πŸ–οΈ

Celebrating Women’s Month & Arts Month at IPSHS! 🎨🌸

The celebration began even before the main event, as students showcased their creativity and advocacy through poster making, film making, and photography contest all centered in the theme of women empowerment.

On the big day itself, we started with high-energy Zumba πŸ’ƒ led by our very own Theater and Arts, the perfect way to gather everyone together.

Before delivering his welcome remarks, School Head Janry L. Panapan treated the crowd to a surprise intermission number through a song. A gesture that was totally unexpected but warmly received.

The school was honored to welcome Hon. KERAJIE RYNE BIMMULOG as the guest speaker, a distinguished empowered woman. Her story and convictions reminded every student that empowerment is not merely a theme, it is a lived reality. Her presence alone stood as a testament to what women can do.

Senior High School students proved that IPSHS shape the talents of their students well as they staged a Disney-themed parody lipsync that bought the message of women empowerment. While the Junior High School expressed the same advocacy through the following competitions:
πŸ’ƒGrade 7 β€” Creative Modern Folkdance
πŸͺ© Grade 8 β€” Retro Dance
πŸŽ‰ Grade 9 β€” Festival Dance
🎡 Grade 10 β€” Musical Play

The IPSHS' Online Site was successfully launched on January 27, 2026 during a LAC Session with the faculty and staff. Through the initiative and vision of the former school head, Ma'am Eunice Ann B. Puguon, she guided the administrative staff in creating a school-focused online site. This site acts as a digital gallery, showcasing student research, academic awards, and extracurricular successes, thereby inspiring both current students and prospective IPSers.

This platform becomes a vital resource whether you are a student seeking educational materials and staying updated on your scholastic records, a parent wanting to stay informed about school happenings, or an individual interested in our latest accomplishments.

You can explore our new 'Digital Home' through the provided link.

https://eipshs.mystrikingly.com/

The site covers the following key features:
🌐 The Newsroom: Showcasing Student Excellence across various events. Staying updated with school-wide announcements and events.
🌐The Academics Portal: You will be seeing data on current enrolment, the school’s performance, and available facilities. Also, Current students will be accessing their academic records through the passcodes given to them and available recorded lectures (as of now, videos are yet to be uploaded).
🌐Admission: updates on the enrolment process.
🌐The About us portal: get informed of the history of the school, the dedicated educators and administrators, the Vision, Mission, and core values.

Don't get left behindβ€”come see how we’re leveling up our science high school!
